even my IGR, but you have to boot to evox3935 before you load the game to get igr to work. if you didn't know. |
All depends on your setup/bios your using
Shit, man I am so frustrated, now only can I not get the updte to work(i should probably try it on a cd-rw) but, every time I choose the Executer bios, it boots to regular M.S. dash even though when the big X comes up it says ececuter2 soo...even when I burn the avalaunch dashboard, ISO and put the disc in, then boot the executer bios it stilkl comes up with regular M.S. dash...no file manager, so now how am I supposed to FTP??? by the way I am using executer 4981
I have a 1.4

Dude, your problem is not with the chip, it's that you need to do read some more tutorials!
From what you posted, it sounds like your chip is working fine, it's just that you don't know how to load a replacement dashboard.
If you used 4981 with it's defaults, then the only way to boot your box is with a bootable CD. Whether you use evox or avalaunch, the xbe file will need to be renamed to default.xbe.
You would be best off using Slayer's Auto installer to get you started, and then
READ THE TUTORIALS to figure out how to configure it the way that you want to.
Flagg
When will people learn that the modchip bios and the dashboard are completely separate??? People who can't even grasp this simple concept shouldn't be allowed to go near there box until they do. Perhaps everyone should take an exam online before being allowed to buy a chip
ok...
1.5
menu selected
flashed from hd (leak) then cd (official)
Auto rebooted after 30 seconds
It works better than ever!

that "ececuter2" (sic) under the X refers to your BIOS, has nothing to do with yur dash

XBOX Version: v1.4 E:\ Method of entering recovery mode: Used Option in menu What Happend after flash: Manually turned XBox off. Success?: Yes.

I transfered to e dtive and used the recovery mode in the 1.0 os.
All is good now and i really like the quick boot feature.
Xbox Version: v1.1
Method Of Saving Upgrade: Onto E: Drive
Method of entering recovery mode: Hard recovery using E (I have E connected to power switch and power on holding button)
What Happend after flash: Xbox stuck on Safe mode screen - powered off manually after several minutes.
Success?: Yes.
Xbox Version: v1.0
Method Of Saving Upgrade: Onto E: Drive
Method of entering recovery mode: Used Option in menu
What Happend after flash: Xbox Turned Off
Success?: Yes.
I have experimented and it seems that if I start Xbox in recovery mode using the power-on method and E, the upgrade doesn't power off the Xbox, but it still works.
I prefer connecting E wire to the power switch instead of the Eject switch because I had problems with XeniumOS v1.0 and it screwing up when pressing eject (ie. load original bios, eject and insert original... hangs on xbox logo). I don't know if this is fixed in XeniumOS v1.1.
Hrm, well so far this is making no sence, people with exactly the same conditions are having mixed results....
Any one tried using the switch in the xbox?
What happens if the upgrade fails? Can you still recover?
Xbox Version: v1.3
Method Of Saving Upgrade: HDD
Method of entering recovery mode: Used Option in menu
What Happened after flash: Had to restart xbox
Success?: Yes

same here
OS is far more stable now, I hope they introduce some network support that'll be sweet.
Xbox Version: v1.1
Method Of Saving Upgrade: Onto E: Drive
Method of entering recovery mode: Used Option in menu
What Happend after or during flash: Xbox didn't reboot , and since there was no progress indicator i waited for 10 minutes and had to reboot manually.
Success?: Yes (phieeuw)
Xbox version - 1.0
Method of saving - ftp' ed onto E drive
Recovery mode- used option in menu
After flash- turned off
success- Hell yeah
note: I figured out that if you ftp or save the recovery.bin file over to E drive you can't put it in any folders. you just have to put it on E. So it should be on same page as your apps and games and stuff(if you have stock drive). So don't put in folder and you should be fine!!

From my understanding they are going to be continuely developing XeniumOS.
What is your avatar? it's cool! (not as cool as my Xenium though). |
Thanks for all your help. My avatar is an Islamic Symbol. Its written in Arabic Calligraphy. I don't quite know what it says, but it looks AWESOME!
