Title: Problem With Xbit 1.5 & Xbox 1.4
Post by: yahoo on September 13, 2005, 10:41:00 AM
First of all sorry for my bad english but i'm italian  rolleyes.gif

I installed a Xbit on a Xbox v1.4.

I haven't done nothing yet: no bios flash, ecc.

When I start the Xbox the console turn on and off for 2 or 3 times and then it starts with green/red eject led (black screen).  grr.gif

I also have changed Xbit with another one but the problem is the same  muhaha.gif

Removing Xbit the Xbox works correctly.  smile.gif

Where is the problem???  blink.gif

P.S.: installation by wires soldering

Yeah, you need a bios in your chip. its quite simpel really. Just connect your usb cable to your chip and the other end of the cable in your PC. Try to use a old PC with the old USB-ports cause the 2.0 ports is often no good.
Use a prog named X-BIT and choose a bios bank. Its a small and very easy prog to use and understand.
FLASH the chip and restart.   Oh, and of course you will need a bios to flash :-). Its easy to find.
After flashing the chip, just use a bootdisk and boot from it. There are a few to choose from so no problem with that.

...........thats it. pop.gif
