Did you clean the D0 point off? That seems to be the cause about 90% of the time from what I've read... And it was what happened to me as well the first time in.

ahhhhhh its about time!! scraped my D0 point (probably a bit too much as it looks scrathed on the board lol) but it works!

On my version 1.0 board, if you follow d0 under to the bottom of the board, I noticed that the trace to d0 runs to a solder point I had my enigmah on... Nice big landing.. So i soldered it there.
Am I wrong in thinking that this landing is just as good or better?
I did this because the original spot seemed like it would be a lot more flakey... And this landing on the bottom is huge by compair.
Also, I see other people flashing their xbits BEFORE installing them into the xbox... Does this make a difference? Should I be unplugging it from the machine before i flash it?

no need to unplug, you can leave the xbox off to flash. did you do a verify to ensure the bios is ok?

I got it working!!!
Check THIS out...
The plug that you plug into the chip for the wire install was bad.
I cut the wires, and soldered them directly to the pins on the back of the plug, on the chip...
Booted it up, and the executer2 came up under the xbox logo on the boot page!
Go figure...
After HOURS of messing around, its working... Makes me think this chip would have been better with the old style soldering landings to directly solder to the chip, instead of this flakey plug thing...
