Suggestions: 1. Ask the avateam to let you select font colors in the settings. (i doubt this would be much of a prob, more than some people going "i set my colors to xxxx and cant read it again and you crashed my xbox" ;P) 2. Ask the avateam to start using colored bitmaps for fonts. It is also possible to change other thing like the dvd_selected and dvd_unselected .png's. Pretty much everything in your media<skins<default folder can be changed. Once you have all your files made up throw them in a folder and put that folder in your media<skins folder and your done. If you know your fotoshop it's easier to take a screenshot from within ava and then make that .bmp a transparent layer in the skin your working on so you can get everything lined up correctly, then just delete the layer before saving it as a .png. And most skins have a unique name. And to select the skin you can use Avalaunch. Just edit the avalaunch.xml file and set your skin to "default". Ive checked the search for bout 30 min now and can't find anything. I'm putting in a new (bigger) hdd and decided to go Avalaunch. Everythings all good except that the text/font is too large. On the options menus the text goes off screen. And using the "Xbox.com" skin at allxboxskins.com by Bulldog64. (Highest rated Ava skin.) Also in the File Manager, I know the text is too big because the numbers/letters overlap. I found this part of the .xml, modded it, uploaded it, rebooted, and it didn't work. Ive tried multiple times... You can specify which font to use in the main menu. If omitted the font will default to 'framd' size '20' NOTE! This font setting may be obsolete once the skinning engine is implemented <font name="framd" size="8"/> Please help. I don't know WTF'n problem is. I always use the online skin think built into avalaunch to update my skins, just go to the Settings > Skins > Online skins if your hooked up on the net, to look at them just hit "a" once, to download it press "a" again, once its "unpacked an installed" hit "B" to go back, and it should be applyed... I have a really nice skin I downloaded, ill grab my xbox and hook it up to my AIW in a sec here for some pics... Also, do I just delete everything in the media folder and transfer what its in the new skin??  I noticed that there are some files that the new skin is missing. I just really can't wait till the ava team releases .50 with the new skin UI. *wonders if they will let a few skin devs get a pre-release to make a few "included" skins, so ava will have a nice skin pack included with the official release of .50* *hint**hint*   Keep up the great work guys, everyone put there skins on Xetasoft.com, let's see if we can get him to keep it up and running even though allxboxskins is back up..
