Title: Atuo Update?
Post by: pimp on December 06, 2004, 02:44:00 PM
hey, i was wondering if the auto update feature in the new version will still work for me....because i have my unleashx.xbe named "evoxdash.xbe" because i dont want to re-do my bios and reflash my chip, so this is just easier to call it evoxdash insted of unleashx.xbe. but thw question i got is, if i select the auto-update feature, is there any way i can have it download the xbe, but auto-rename it to evoxdash.xbe? so my dashboard will always work?

the new version Roxxorz!!!!!

It replaces the xbe initiating the update, so it will be where the old file used to be.

And I just tried it and it worked perfect. It replaced my evoxdash.xbe (using UDE1 softmod) and it worked great.  :)

Wow, so it even works using a soft mod? What does unleashx do, patch the executable so that the habibi key signature is still valid?

i would guess he is using a bios loader, so there is no reason to sign the xbe in the first place
