Its weird how the older you get the harder it is being able to remember what age you are!. It took me a few seconds to think and remember Im actually 24, wtf!?. I'm sure I was only 18, just out of school and going to the pub for the first time the other week!. I'll be an old man in no time!! aaarrrggghhh!!!.

First console/gaming pc for me would be ZX Spectrum, But that was my older bros so probably doesn't count. First thing I owned was C64 then after that I got my Mega Drive and Sonic!!. Back in the day when games mags were full of drawings from readers showing Sonic mutilating Mario with various sharp objects etc etc and you were either a Sega or Nintendo fan but never the two together. SEGA ALL THE WAY!!!

31. Pong was my first. 1978 Highlight- paddle size adjustment and ball speed. super mario music plays in my head along with zelda and it still won't go away from 1987. My Sega Master System ruled- Zillion was the best. I hope to play games with my great grand kids!

My 1st system was Nes, later on... Snes, N64...i still got them in my bookshelf.
My current collection:

1x PS1, 1x Nes, 1x N64, 1x Snes, 1x XBOX, 1x Sega Saturn, 1x Gamecube
1x Sega Dreamcast, 1x Gameboy Advance, 1x PS2, 1x XBOX360
(Just call me an old school game collector...)

I dont play much more on them, i dont have much time left for it anymore. Except for one game..."Final Fantasy XI" (360)
Btw, im off to the Shiva server, so if u ever run into a THF called " Laughlyn " dont be afraid to say hello. =)

Wow. Surprised to see so many 16-20 year-olds. Well.. maybe not. I would expect my age group, the 21-25 to be much higher though and not so close to the 16-20 year-olds.

I'm 24, by the way.

I sure hope the vast majority of those 16-20 year-olds are at least 18-20. Why? It seems most people under 18, no offense, really, so nobody please say I'm flaming by any means, are a little on the immature side. Then again, they are under 18 so what would you expect?

It's all good. The more people who are members of Xbox-Scene the better, in my opinion, so if you're 15, 16, 17, 12, 20, 30, 40 and an X-S member -- Hey, I'm glad to see you're a member and here on the site. Really, I am - even if you are immature. Haha, joking.

you shouldn't be caught up with your age man. it's just a number. theres probably people under the age of 18 on XS that can teach you a thing or two when it comes to modding.

first computer was a piece of something my dad got me when i wanted a real computer...
second one my step dad got me that was relatively just as much a piece....
didnt get a good one until a buddy robbed the high school and thought the cops were going to raid him, so i got a 500mhz pIII for 100 bucks.. a real "steal" at the time.

20 and first system was the atari... not sure which one I just remember having a box of paddles for diff games and about 100 games for it... other than that I grew up with nes and snes... snes being my favorite system to date... all the good developers made a name for themselves with the snes... and sega had like nobody exclusive worth mentioning... also the birth of the greatest rpg's ever made came with the snes

41. Moded my first xbox in December. First computer other then a teletype mainframe in junior high was a PET 2001 in high school. We at first had the version with 4K of memory, later got the much faster 8k version! Had few games so we had to program our own. Saved games on cassete tape drive. Now have 3 powerbooks, iMac, Cube, 8500 and just built my first PC for use as a server. Daughters 3 and 5 yo use the powerbooks and XBMC all the time. Can't wait to see how good they are with computers when they are 13!

I've been reading the scene every day since it 1st came online in 2002. I think the 1st news article was about some tunneling software that ended up being xbconnect and early on we had the matrix chip. Aaaah those were the days

I wish I had registered on the forum at the beginning. Oh well. I just didn't feel the need until a couple of years ago.The Earliext example I could find

I'll be 30 in July, systems of use...

Pong, ZX81, Spectrum 48, Spectrum 48+, Spectrum 128+2, Amiga 600HD (20MB), IBM PC (2 of them), Celeron 333Mhz,

Now stuck with a AMD 2500+. The xbox setup is a joke... 21" tv that has mono audio, with xbox audio going to a old set of 3D speakers!

When my kids (2.5yrs girl and 8 months boy) are grown up, and I stop studying and find real work, maybe I'll be able to have a killer system!

Yes, yes I've done things a little backwards to some people! But hey I'm happy, I'm a Brit living in Finland!

Obviously my post was too intellectual for you to understand I suppose because I clearly made subliminal messages that the age doesn't really matter and I'm happy the more people on X-S the better no matter how old they are.

31 (32 in October) - had a computer or console or one kind or another throughout my life!

First one I think was a 'Grandstand' - an all in one unit with paddles that played 5 'pong' style games.

Next was a good ol trusty 2600, which all I remember was Circus Atari making me laugh as you missed the landing on the see-saw and Decathlon giving you a nasty bruise in the centre of your palm as you tried to waggle the ol' black joystick to get the guy to run!

In chronological order, the following systems kept me amused over the years:

Oric-1 / Atmos, Atari 800XL, Commodore 64, Atari ST, Amiga 500, Megadrive, SNES and Playstation. Have had PCs too, but wouldn't count them as games machines.

Now got the Xbox and 360 - it really is amazing as to how far we've come in the last 30 years

Just turned 30.... First system? COLECO VISION, COMMODORE 64 5 1/4 floppy (still have) and a modem which believe it or not i ran a BBS on, then a commodore 286 12/Mhz IBM clone with a whopping 40 MB Hard drive and 2 megs of ram, then eventually NES, SNES, N64, Game Cube for the old lady and of course my xbox wiht my xecuter 3 CE, which is always connected to my PC.

Found the last 2 generations of consoles to be quite unsatisfactory game wise. Xbox runs XMBC 99.999999999% of the time it's on (thanks again for this marvellous peice of software).

Recently found the fun in gaming again thanks to the Nintendo DS. No 360 and no PS3 will cross my doorstep but the Revolution will...

Then my rebirth I got an xbox kinda wipes out all my consoles before it then Dec 05 a 360.

Been gaming since i can remember , funny thing tot hink but my 4 year old nephew when he gets older and this comes up in a forum somewhere hell be saying first system i everplayed was an xbox he is xtremly addictted to Midnightclub raceing 3 and is really good at it hes been playing raceing games on the xbox since he was about 2 ... Anyway I rarleyplay my xbox anymore cause hes on it and im xtremly addicted to world of warcraft gotta get to 60 , gotta get to 60

Been hacking consoles since the SNES days (Multigame Doctor) and have modded every console since then. Genesis, N64 (Doctor v64), Dreamcast (40wire modchip just for imports!), thousands of PS1s, dozens of PS2s, and over 500 Xbox's modded. Current Xbox is mainly an EMU/Media center with 1.2TB and over 600 xvid movies.

Even ran a 4 line BBS from 90-94 with over 100 online games and had the first 14.4k and CD-Rom full of pr0n for download before anyone else within 200 miles.

I was a n00b back in '88 when I first got online with my C128 and a 300baud modem. Anyone remember those? Watching each letter appear on the screen? hahaha.

I sorta got away from nintendo when the snes came out and became infatuated with genesis, SONIC PWNZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at least until the n64, which was my only system besides pc for about 9 years, then I got my xbox last year sometime. moddin like mad ever since, just got a 360 about 3 weeks ago and I can't wait to cut it up!!!!!!!!!

I used to play Asteroids and Galaxian at Time Out as a kid growing up. My first handheld was a game called Football which was played on a grid of 3 x 10 blinking lights. The first home video game I played was Pong at a friend's place - though I can't remember what system he had.
