Title: Vlc And Yellow Dog, One Big Problem

When i do yum install vlc i get this error:

failure: repodata/repomd.xml from freshrpm-frpm: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from freshrpm-frpm: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
[root@localhost ~]#


Any ideas?

PS: I get the same error in yum update

Any ideas?

Are those the default repositories or something you added?

With both, i'm using the ones in VLC site.

I'm not sure what could be going on....have you tried installing MPlayer instead?

Mplayer wouldn't play things in full screen for me.  I got weird green bars when I tried it.  If you know how to get around that I'd love to know.

Try this tutorial for installing VLC, it worked for me when I put in the new repository files:
