Hi,
I am just wondering as sony mentioned that you can play videos from the ps3 hard drive or usb drives. Does anybody got any idea what sort of video formats/ codecs will ps3 support for video and audio playback. my guess is similar to psp, ps3 will also support mpeg4-sp and mpeg4-avc for video and mp3, aac (probably wma) for audio.
i'd love to hear any info on this.

I don't believe they've made any official announcments. though I agree with you that it will probably be the same formats supported by the PSP.

hopefully more sony did suprise me with mp3 support "finally oi" for psp. can only hope
