Hey I was just wandering, I'm getting a Jap PSP soon but I was thinking, when firmware updates becmoe avaliabe, will that mean it will change my PSP's region code. It would be kinda handy for UK models.. If not it doesn't really bother me
-
if memory serves me right a JAP PSP needs a JAP FW as with a US PSP will need a US FW and a UK PSP will need UK FW i dont think you can switch reagions though with a hacked Firmware id see that easily possible
-
keep it on 1.0 until 1.5 is cracked, coz u currently cant run any homebrew apps (emulators and stuff)
and about the region... dont worry they'll crack that too
-
the chances are I will have 1.5... and even if not I got it with wipeout
-
i got a jap import ages ago and it came with 1.5 firmware.
If you take a look in the latest PSP releases NFO by Dynarox they have a quote saying
"In a really near future , a loader will be released to make games work via the
memory card. In a way to admit it , Soon all games will work on V1.0, V1.5. We
Need to make some more test. Til then be patient."
