Title: Wip: My Netgear Wgr614 V5 Cooling And Switch Mod
Post by: kirky1991 on August 23, 2010, 10:47:00 AM
Two connections will be Negative One will be positive.

You'll have to cut the trace to the + or negative then solder a swtich into the circuit. Or you culd cut the power cable and add a switch like that.

No. Cut the trace, One side goes to one connection on the switch, the other side goes to the other connection on the switch.

CODE
------------ / -------------     < Cut trace

-------  [Insert Switch]      ---------    solder either end of the trace to the switch

Legend

CODE
--------               Positive Trace
/                        Cut
[Insert Switch]    Switch

If you dont understand this still....I could literaly do it, take a picture and upload it/show you.

To be honest, If you cant do this, I dont think you should be messing around with electronics at this moment in time.
