i got all 3 systems aswell.  i may not agree with your choices, i am not going to try to change your mind.  i on the other hand like my xbox over the others.  
xbox has many games worth playing, very deep in game play for games like amped, dead to rights and buffy.  
gamecube was just bought for me by my girlfriend for my birthday and i actually enjoy this system over ps2.  i only own mario sunshine and resident evil but these two games alone have made me want to play completely through them, unlike my next system which hasnt really drawn me in since i got it a yr ago.
ps2 has many games but not very good choices.  alot of games are just part two's and quite sloppily made.  only metal gear and silent hill 2 caught my attention, the rest of my games have just sat on the shelf in a cd binder, collecting dust.  infact, i played my dreamcast much more then i played my ps2.  sorry but the truth hurts

The only difference is you like Dead to Rights and Buffy, and I see them as two more completely forgettable titles.  

They might entertain for a bit, but years from now I wont be pulling them out to play 'em.  Mario, though, I probably will, just like I fire up SMB3 or Yoshi's Island.

So far Xbox has delivered games I'd rate as NS for "Not Shitty".  Being "Not Shitty" isnt the same as "Great Title" IMO.

i agree with basically all your comments, i just chose the xbox as my favorite.  i've only had my gamecube for about 3weeks but i flew through resident evil (not saying its easy, just enjoyed it enough to keep playing it).  everyone has there own fav's but as of now, i've found more games to play through on xbox.  you may be right though because in a year or so, i may wanna play through mario or resident evil again.  the only true way to compare is to play all the systems because as of 3weeks ago, i though the gamecube was total crap, but after playing my games of choice, i was very impressed.

there are all 3 consoles in my home as well. ive really regreted getting the gamecube, its been really dissapointing to me (no offense to anyone that owns one, just my opinion).the PS2 was really fun before i got the xbox, now i really cant get used to the much worse graphics at all.i will go back to it when the new GTA and smackdown comes out. but since ive gotten the box, its done nothing but collect dust. but that system still goes down as one of the greats, IMO. but nintendo has done nothing for me since N64 was released.

Ok, here goes my theory(many ppl agreed with this) :

Top 10 reasons why you could love the cube :

1) You are gay  
2) You are still a kid
3) You have some serious problems and you want to go to old times when  you was a kid and ur life was great!
4) Your parents buy ur games cause you are the only child at home
5) You might be gay
6) The real games are too hard for you to play
7) Maybe you are gay
8) You won one for free
9) You like being gay
10) You are in love with mario which means you are a goddamn gay!

                                    Just emulate your SMB3 and Yoshi's Island on the Xbox.  In terms of retail games I'd give the Xbox a 6.5 of 10, but when you bust out the MAME-X, SMS, Genesis, NES, SNES, N64, and C=64 emulators, it jumps to 11.

well, i lux xbox to bits, but down here in oz, xbox seems dead.  There are maybe 10-15 games available at the local stores.  And most of the catalogues i get in the junk mail only advertise ps2/gc stuff.  I hate reading .sig's like "with 60 games..."

Thats Bullshit, the censorship here is not bad(except for a recent notable movie), the X-Box has been shit upon by Microscum here, they're CEO threatened to take away the console due to mod-chips. don't think they'll do that in Jap. or USA.

Hah, i say try, go right ahead and give in, i would have bought a PS2 in a second if that happened and stuck it up a company in decline! I think its good that MS is loosing money on every sale, they deserve it the bastards!

We have the same problem as the Japanese market, i.e a bullshit selection of games which cost 20% higher then eqivilent PS2 titles.
Thats why i use PIRATE GAMES, maybe if they UTILISED the damn consoles functions(i.e a HARD DRIVE), they may win over a few more fans, the only way to fully utilise the X-BOX is to install FREE SOFTWARE, hah!

Our selection is fucked because we are limited to PAL games released locally.

Also On the other topic, fuck you, you gun nut, you suck, Australia has had to endure another mass shooting due to the sick notion that its your right to have a gun, people should not have access to firearms unless they can JUSTIFY the need to have one and pass a mental test and be prepared to wait at least a year to get a license for one.

Me thinks the GC -games are kinda childish (except for few titles).
ps2 on the other hand has quite amount of games, but most of them are plain sh*t and I have never liked anything made by Sony (of course there is one exception, which is Wega Trinitron CRT).

Only Xbox rocks atm

I read everyone comments here and have to laugh. I feel like I'm ten years old again argueing over whether my Spectrum is better than a C64 or an Atari 800. Really who gives a shit what you opinion is if you don't like one system or another. The fact is the games that come out on all three system are almost identical. To the point that some of the Xbox games that are PS2 conversion are file for file identical with the exception of a couple of files. Notice how you see .pss files on a few Xbox games. Thats not a Xbox native graphic format I can tell you.

If one system had Resident Evil, GTA and Halo you know what that would probably be the best. Guess what no one system does and the games they have in common are pretty much the same all shit.

Bottomline if you so insecure about your purchases and have to tell everyone that the system you didn't buy is crap maybe you shouldn't have bought the system you did. All have good points and there is no really out and out winner. History is littered with technology that was "The best" and didn't make it. Its all about marketing, and guess who's losing the most money on there system ain't Nintendo or Sony. Lucky MS can absorb a $177 million lose. I own all three systems and like them all. Just hate seeing games that are identical on all three systems that the developers where too lazy to use the systems strenghts.

i bought an xbox for the same reason as my GBA, and that's just for the Dev. stuff.

i have a PS2 but only bought it because it was $50 but still haven't bought any games for it.  Just wish i could put a HD in the darn thing.

I must give Nintendo credit for their work for the size and security of the GCN.  though i don't own one, i've heard Resident Evil is one kick-@$$ game.

Animal Crossing huh really don't get the love of that one.  Looks like a 16 bit title.  For such an advanced system seems like some of the games look very weak for the power that the system is said to have.

Sad what happens to systems...

Lots Of Development=Good system
Good System=High Price
High Price=Many Game Developers
Many Game Developers=Weak Coding
Weak Coding=Expensive Game
Expensive Game=You.

Halo pushed the XBox the most out of my games. Seeing all the GameCube games, I can tell noone is really trying, or the systems out to lunch...Resident Evil's ok though (Needs better AA I think).

Xbox - Best for the Action freak (me). Good sports, and online is unmatched.

PS2 - Chances are, if you want a game, it's on this system. Weakest Hardware, but most people won't care.

Gamecube - King of Fun, pretty much. Great for the casual player, and a hit with kids.
