Lets not report on who's won which state until say at least 60% of that state's results are in. So far Bush is up 39 to 3, but the highest percent of total votes any state has reported is like 20% right now. This is how the news shows almost cost Bush the election last time. |
Sorry man but youre stupid.
I doubt people are coming from all over the US to the XBOX-Scene forums looking for election results.
Just accept that Kerry is done,
That didn't make any sense. I don't think you know what speculation means. Anyway, I'm saying we shouldn't have a bunch of "my guy's winning" posts until it's basically a done deal, because you run the huge chance of looking like an ass later on. I'm for Bush btw.
it makes sense if your not a stone cold dummy.
Since when has anyone had a problem with another person making themselves look like an ass?
4 more years of bush...
and fuckit.. let GW back into the white house as well.
Hank the drunken dwarf speaks!
YOU BASTARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

almost 11:00 est and according to NPR (
http://www.npr.org/ )......
Bush: 196
Kerry: 112
Pending:
229
11:00 EST
Final electoral count prediction:
Bush = 306
Kerry = 232
damn...new results coming in. Race is getting very close.......
Ohio looks like the swing for President. I retract my previous post on electoral final count.
It is now 11:52 PM, and there is still no way you could possibly say that either candidate looks like they are going to win. But, Ohio and Florida do appear to be going Bush's way. That is, untill I hear something new every three minutes.
It might actually be that widespread. It looks like Bush is barely winning Ohio, but winning Florida very solidly. He lost Pennsylvania, but went from what was a first showing a 77-23 loss to more like a 54-46. I also like how Bush is ahead in the popular vote (up by more than 2 million right now), so when it's all said and done, we'll have the popular vote and the electoral vote, so the Democrats will have nothing to cry about, and hopefully will do the right thing and support the president.
Very close and on ohio apparently lots of urban votes are not counted yet. This means black people if you dint know and most black people vote for democrats.EVen this white woman on fox news says she think ohio will be kerry's and if he doesnt get it he doesnt win.
Im pissed but also unsure of what will happen in the end.
The reporters don't know which precincts have been counted and which haven't, they just know how many have been counted. I'm not scared of black people voting anyway...and by the way, urban does not mean black. Read a dictionary.
Ok, now I'm speculating. We're up 246 to 206...only 24 points to go baby! We're damn near 3 million ahead in the popular vote now too.
I aint readin no dictionary fool.
When someone speaks of the urban vote or urban voters they are talking about black people you stupid shit.
And quit talking about these numbers, where are you getting them from?TV?
You know I got a damn tv and so does everyone else you dumbass,we dont need a mini Tom Brokaw giving us the fucking count.

Jesus man, calm the hell down.
I should also mention that "urban" simply refers to the inner city. It may have a higher proportion of african american voters, as well as dozens of other ethnic groups.
That's what I was trying to say.
I cant calm down, this crack really gets me going!
You sir, are a fucking idiot, and a racist at that. Stop watching MTV.
No sorry im not racist.
But you are.
Why would you say that?
Drudgereport.com
Now reporting Bush victory!
So a right leaning man reports a right leaning victory.
NBC thinks Bush wins too.Oh well.Matt Drudge is a moron. How many people does he have working the polls? Zero right?Hes just watching tv like us.
4 MORE YEARS IT IS! He's at 269, there is basically no possible way Bush could lose. It's still going to end pretty close, but ladies and gentlemen, George W Bush is still the President of the United States of America. Of course I'll totally eat my words if something huge happens, but it won't.
With almost 90% reporting for Ohio, and Bush has a 2% lead.. how can the Democrats think they are winning??
they dont think theyre winning, they are trying to see if there is any possible way that the dems could pull ohio...
They don't. They think the 400,000 absentee ballots will help them, when actually about 280,000 of them are from Cincinatti, which is a very republican part of teh state. If anything, adding these votes will increase Bush's lead. Let's wait for Kerry concession speech.

I was watching CBS, and a reporter from the Kerry HQ did report that there was faith that Kerry was going to win Ohio in the Kerry camp.
all i have to say is: god damn ohio and florida, wtf were you thinking?

Ohio? How is Ohio like Florida?
umm key state that voted bush?*
*as far as can be told
I thought you were referring voting problems like Florida to Ohio today.
I just can't believe that there is that many ppl who supported Bush.
They said it was gona be real close, but I thought it would be in Kerry's favour.

Shows the true face of democrats. Just admit you lost and try again in 4 years. But no they will drag this out and ruin their integrity with the american people and kill themselves for no gain. |
the potential gain of having bush out of office is worth it...
I'd rather have lawyers bickering amongst each other for 4 years and NO president instead of Bush. Hell, get one of those bobbing head Taco Bell dogs and say it's the president. It would be just fine with me.
Bush said "Our country is under attack. Our values are under attack." and it worked. People fucking voted for Bush as their savior. This proves one thing, over half the country is made up of closed-minded fearful sheep. I changed my mind, I DO want to take their bibles away. With Bush in office, there'll be enough forced religion to go around without them and they'll make great feedstock for thermal depolymerization, after all, with Bush in office crude oil is just gonna keep going up up up!
Luckily the close-minded people are less than half of the population, which is why Bush won.
that is the most ironic and wholy false statement ive heard in a while... thanks bran...
Not trying to gloat, but power calls us republicans close-minded, but he won't admit defeat? It's over, get over it. The people picked thier president. It obvious that''s who the majority wanted when Florida And Ohio Both voted for Bush. You're stuck with the guy, all you can do is wait for the perfect oppurtunity to hit him with an impeachment, or sit at the steps of the white house, and picket for the next 4 years. The Demos would have had a much larger chance if they didn't pick such a left wingest, all they needed was someone slightly different from Bush, and they would have had it in the bag. We all know the majority who voted for Kerry only did to smite Bush.

Uh, read the damn news...
Kerry Concedes Election To Bush Kerry didn't send his team of ravenous lawyers in to cause a repeat of 2000, he was a gentleman and admitted his defeat. I agree, it's over, the fat lady has sung. When I posted my "taco bell dog" message, the Ohio votes where still up in the air and REPUBLICANS where already claiming victory.
Hopefully, Bush realizes his job is to serve the entire American public, not just the people who voted for him. 48% of the popular vote, OVER 55 MILLION Americans felt strongly enough that Bush wasn't the right man for the job. We're not talking sour grapes, we're talking a country strongly divided. If Bush learned something from this, there's still hope.
"Uh, read the damn news... Kerry Concedes Election To Bush"
What does that have to do with anything?

he = you
I agree, Bush does need to change, but we have to work with what we have, and we have Bush for another 4 years.
Bush serving another term is better for comedic value than Kerry. With Bush in office it gives show like SNL, and the Daily Show much more material to work with.
@baner, he admitted defeat, but at the time the statement you referenced it wasnt exactly the case...
@pingrr... true, but id rather have a competent person in the seat of power than better presidential jokes on tv...

Ya, I realized that after his post.

have a competent person |
I'm sure Bush is more than competent enough to run the country, he's been doing it for 4 years now, and we haven't gone up in flames (except once, and only in 3 locations, and in his first year of serving). Looking back now, I would have been fine with either of the canidates becoming president. Kerry just made me uneasy alot of times with his economic plans that wouldn't add up, outsourcing homeland security, and long head.
Edit: I haven't watched SNL since Farley and Hartman died, and Sandler left.

sorry but i feel the need to pick a bone with you on this. history has shown us that some of our greatest presidents of all time were not appeasers, but visionaries. their job wasn't so much to satisfy the other party, but to push forward their agenda and get the job done. men like jfk and reagan. They weren't hand-holders or appeasers to the other party, they communicated their position (forcefully and effectively) and got the job done...
also, for those of you who complain saying this isn't a MANDATE b/c the election was so close. What is a mandate? Consider...
wislon did not win by as big a percetage as bush. jfk did not win by big a percentage as bush. roosevelt did not win by as big a percentage as bush. Reagan did not win by as big a percentage as bush, and clinton did not win by as big a percentage as bush (both times!). trust me, bush's win is the closest thing to a "mandate" America will have for a long time.
