Title: 11 Days Till I Buy A 360 Elite

I've waited so long, in fact since launch, but I get paid on the 28th. Then once money is transferd into my savings (got like £130 saved for 360 elite) I can go buy one.

I'm glad I got the other things like my new PC and HDTV before with my part time job. Now it's going to be exciting, when I get a 360 Elite, I just hope 2nd year University coursework don't take all my free time and work.

Sorry I'm excited counting the days lol!

And Halo 3 soon!!

i'll be getting one then too! just working up the courage to blow that much money and hinder my grades in my sophomore year at college.  what made you decide to get an elite over a premium.  it just has 100gb larger hdd and that's it.

Well first my HDTV has 2 HDMI ports (getting a PS3 at Xmas as well), and second the 120GB drive is £130 separate here (the Elite is £299) so I don't get why it's £130 I'm sure the drive is cheaper in USA. And most of my stuff near my TV is black as well and I can afford £299 quite easy, there was a deal at Virgin Megastores I think a £299 Elite with 2 games so I think I'm going to get that I think.

i got an elite about 1 week ago and i have to say it seems to run cooler then my premium and just looks soo much better in black now i have to wait for MS to send me my HDD transfer kit

I been wanting a 360 since launch but have always been unable to obtain one until yesterday. I told myself since halo3 was around the corner I need to get one. I was able to purchase an Elite for $300. I went to my local gamestop and was prepared to buy a new 360 ($350) and went to ask them if they had a used one. There was a guy in line that was trading in his Elite for a Ps3. He told me he would sell it to me for $300. It had all the original parts and the gamestop guy tested it made sure it was working. He had bought the elite from  that gamestop a month ago and still had the receipt. I also bought Gears of War (very fun).

Ahh 8 days now till I get paid,

ill prob buy it on the monday  1st Oct if I'm not busy at Uni, I think unless I have to change my work days cause of Uni...

dam this is the most agonizing wait ever

i picked up a new 360 premium.  got lucky and have the benq drive as well as the new heatsink.  at least we are getting our 360's in time for halo 3, eh bucko?

I would love an Elite...BUT

I would love a system that actually works. I will stick to the 360 I currently have then next year sometime when MS decides to give us quality I will trade it in.

Ah not long now I'm tempted to order Forza 2 on play.com but I don't wanna buy a 360 elite then end up with 2 copies..lol

edit, I've decided I'm gonna buy it on Saturday since I've just done a bank transfer of my savings into my spending account so when I get paid on Friday ill have enough for sure and maybe Halo 3 as well so hopefully ill end up with a 360 elite and 3 games (2 bundled) if there in stock in town...

Halo3 has been posted, get paid tomorrow so going in town on sat, this is like the longest wait ever lol, whats the betting theres no 360 elites in stock in town?

there will be loads.

watch out if you go to gamestation, they are charging £399 in some stores for elites. Not that i would EVER reccomend going to gamestation anyway

in fact avoid it at all costs, pretend you would explode if you entered one.

lol ok thnx, work was the most slowest ever today, but at least it's over!! Ill get Sat, Sun and monday (before Uni..) to mess about with it when I buy it tomoz..

And I got paid as well, so I got enough money !!!!!!!

I've bought it, most shops were out of stock, but I got it at Game, all the free game deals had run out but at least I got one, and getting Halo3 on Monday hopefully, and the best thing is it has the Benq drive !!

Yer, most said they would get new stock on thursday, I think it's because of the free game offers tbh, but I've got no games but Halo3 should be a lot of fun...on Monday,

Tbh if I was living away at University I think housemates would distract me more with there music and so forth, so living at home kinda has it's advantages (and debt free to)

I've downloaded all the acrade demos now I'm downloading Bioshock demo hehe..

The bioshock demo scared me shitless lol, I'm usually not scared with games but oh my it was so cinematic in high-def, I'm not use to all this HDness lol!! And my TV has a surround effect to so made it even more immersing, I didn't complete just play it for a bit, I tried the Crackdown and Forza 2 demo as well..

go to the store and snag a used copy of Condemned for $15... I guarantee it's the best $15 you'll ever spend on a game

I've moved my PSU and tidied up all the cables, I want my PS2 still I got it hooked up via component so I can have a quick game of F1 '06 cuz it aint on the 360 platform..don't worry both of my xbox 1's are still near by..
