Title: Wireless Not Working On The 360
Post by: benjio on May 22, 2006, 08:19:00 AM
I hooked up a D-Link WUA-1340 usb wireless dongle onto my new 360 and it won't recognize it or power it up.  When i plug in my usb flash drive with "connect now" settings on it they are recognized, but it says the settings cannot be saved to the wireless connector.

I also tried the netgear adaptor from my wife's computer and that one didn't power up either...

any ideas on this?  any help would be great,  thanks   B

Alright, I'll bite. Are you saying that USB wireless adapters other than the official M$ one work with the 360? If so, elaborate. I want to hear this.

BTW, it's relatively common knowledge that a wireless adapter that plugs in with Ethernet will work with the 360.

@benjio: If you want wireless on your 360 without having to pay for the absurdly overpriced M$ adapter, go buy a cheap 802.11g Ethernet adapter. You'll most likely have to hook it to your computer first to configure it for your network's security and all that, but after that it should work with your 360.
