1. They're getting shipments of the bundles tpday/tomorrow and that is what caused the sale on the site
2. The site WILL NOT sell more than the number they are receiving
3. Despite the "backordered" status of some of the items, they are all arriving in a bundle to their facility so they will be filled as a bundle, not shipped separately.
4. They will be shipping Monday, so I should have it Tuesday
5. If anything changes they'll email me (duh)
but she was very sure about all this, and I mentioned how pissed everyone is online that stores aren't filling pre-orders but they're online and she laughed and said yeah thats how it goes she's heard it before but I said hell I got mine I don't care anymore

What really sucks though is I forgot I have a damn business trip that I am leaving for on Tuesday night which means I will get my system and have to leave town before I can even play the damn thing. Argh!
On a side note, the people on the phone at gamestop are really nice. Quite a change of pace from the fine folks at Walmart and Target that I have been stalking.

Becasue M$ has made me so paranoid - I called my CC company to let them know that I was expecting this purchase to go through. The guy at AMex told me the charges ahd already gone through! You're right though, the fact that the order went through on your AmEx card is a positive sign. Gamestop says specifically that they won't charge until the order is completed and ready to be shipped. I logged onto my AmEx site and looked, but nothing charged to my card yet
but... maybe the site hasn't updated yet <crosses fingers>

Really? They had similar bundles before launch date. Then those all sold out. Then on launch day, they released different bundles (EA, Silver, etc). That's the one I ordered. But even if you're right, why would they ship to the people who ordered these "new" 999 and 1499 bundles and not the people who ordered the bundles way before? Doesn't make too much sense, but then again, none of this Xbox 360 craze does!

Derfla - When did you place your order at gamestop.com? I ordered the pro turbo bundle on Thursday night around 9:30 Pacific time, about an hour after the bundle went up for sale. If you ordered after me, that should mean I'm getting one! WHOOP!

Doesn't make much sense to me, thus my questioning. Sounds like since he's in the group that spend 999 and 1499 that he's being optimistic about those people chances, but not the others. It's a known fact that a little after the initial launch on launch day, gamestop.com started offering what they called post-launch bundles. These included a 360 core bundle ($690), an EA Sports bundle ($840), a Silver bundle ($840) an Ultimate bundle ($1190) and the plasma TV bundle ($3690). These were available for order on gamestop.com for awhile after launch. Then they were gone and then these 2 new bundles, the Turbo and the High Octane, came out. I don't see why gamestop would ship the 2 bundles that came much later before the ones that were ordered prior.

That does make me optimistic though, because I highly doubt that B&N or Gamestop would totally make up a UPS Tracking number just to try and keep me happy.

Edit: And I would wager too that these have been pre-packeged bundles, and that they have had so many to sell. I odreded a bundle that totalled 900$, and my wager would be that they probably had a few more of the more expensive bundels because people are willing to pay for them. Just my .02$

Official answer from like 2-4 people I bothered today on the phone
Apparently they had a 'hiccup' in the system and my 4AM order was knocked back to 10AM
Im sure other people were effected too from it
Apparently they didnt ship out stuff fast enough and since I bothered the right people I got knocked up to processing past other people(which I did, minutes after i called)
So basically they are still processing/shipping stuff, just be patient as long as ur credit card dont reject it u will be fine!

Anyway, it's been a rollercoaster this week, kept checking on it, some items would say backordered, then would say usually ships within 24 hours, then backorderd.. krazy, and with that whole episode last night of the premium for sale which was not real and everyone who places an order had it cancelled by gamestop.
Today I checked on that steel bundle, and it was all processing, and now it has shipped.. oddly enough. It should be here tomorrow, depending on when they get it out, and of course we are getting hit hard with snow and ice , tis the way it is.
I really hope everyone finds one, I know the frustration, but those with more patience will probably get the last laugh. (good bundles or find a system alone and get what they want)
So what is everyone planning on doing with the games they don't want? Theres about 3 I could dol without, due to having them on the xbox/pc, does eb have trade-ins rite now for 360 games? Just curious as to what you guys are doing with the stuff you don't want. I wanna get my hands on pgr3/kameo/nhl/ and doa4 when it's released.
