Obviously you guys "never" played Halo on Legendary...For example, Two Betrayal took me 3hrs and 45mins. |
Yeah, but I think most morrowind fans would agree, it's just not possible to spend the amount of time you do in Morrowind in any other game.
I've put maybe 150-200 hrs into Halo, vs 400-600 in Morrowind (and counding)
morrowind and by a close second deus ex
in morrowind how can you not play it for a short time, that game is fuking huge
and im most supprised by it only taking up less than a gig i think .798
and look at how big the map is, there is so many different places to go, its nuts
Morrowind!! Finished it then played it again even longer (still going) when I got the Game Of the Year version. Actually, started a game on my PC version I got free with my video card too :D
Awesome, awesome game!! One of the best ever!
Rainbow Six 3, Full Spectrum Warrior, and NBA Inside Drive 2004
Soul Calibur 2! Is it just me?
By far it's Dead or Alive 3, without a doubt.
Sports games
Halo and Rainbow Six 3
Back when it came out, i played morrowind everyday for about a month, it gave my xbox chronic overheating problems and its what actually made me go to x-s in the first place.
Shenmue 2, easily.
Since it isn't a choice, I'll say Morrowind instead.
Plus I don't understand how you can insult somebody for playing video games a lot if you are too lazy to spell out simple words like "you" and "have" and actually using punctuation..
Halo and sports games get mad replay from multiplayer. Other then that, morrowind tops the rpgs, Gladius took alot of time too. Kotor was alright, but it was fairly easy to max your character out(time wise).
hands DOWN without a dout:
Morrowind
i mean shyt, the game world is bigger than real life world!
Halo is a better game than Morrowind, but Morrowind wastes so much time. I remember playing it 2 years ago every day during the summer for at least 5 hours, and I still didn't beat it. The sidequests distract you, along with decorating your house.
ESPN Hockey. No questions asked.
damn, i need to play morrowind.
(I think ninja gaiden should be added, only because I find it so damn hard)
).
But for me personally the most time consuming would be Halo (not necessarily the single player campaign, but the multiplayer action I had with friends).

Sports Games.
If I get stuck at a part for more then 20 minutes I want to throw the game out a window. So RPG's are out of the question. But I looove my hockey/basketball games.
Considerable mention goes to Halo, which out of the non-sports games I have played leaps and bounds more then any other game. |
yup, i spend alot of time on madden 2004, and i hate rpg's too
Gladius is noteworthy of being time consuming.
p.s. play riddick
Morrowind would definitiely take the most time of any of these games, should you take the time to play it. However, the time is pretty much all walking (mostly slowly) around finding things to do, and reading long pages of text. IMO this game needs a lot of improvements to make it a good game. otherwise the impatient people (like me) will never play it cuz its just so boring (and ugly for that matter).
halo or soul calibur 2 are my most played ones.
edit: some spelling

--Morrowind-- its just so boring (and ugly for that matter). |
well siad...
i played morrowind and right away felt like i was playing somthing off an old pc when MMX was the craze...
fable will kill it...
i voted halo...because of multi player and legendary is no joke...ill spend days on one level!
Sports games...I'm with chefelf on Tiger Woods 2004. I also think that if Racing is a sport, street racing is a sport...so I spend A LOT of time with NFS: Underground...but I've just recently been putting a LOT of time into Psi-Ops. It's quite a good game.
Snipers with two people with white color armor on SIDE WINDER up to 25. Very time consuming. Nuff said!
I forgot to add that its on two tvs.
On that list Halo.
Never tried to play morrowind; another game I put alot of hours in was JSRF.
Definately sports game, unlimited replayability!!! And the multiplayer is great!!!

I had to stop Halo half way through, because of motion sickness. When will game developers learn that first-person perspective games can induce motion sickness?! Third-person perspective games like Splinter Cell, MechAssault, Metal Arms, etc., do not induce motion sickness, but third-person perspective games like Halo, Rainbow Six 3, Morrowind, etc., can induce motion sickness in some people. Hitman Contracts gives you an option to choose/select the perspective, so why can't other games give you an option to choose the perspective?! Splinter Cell 1 and 2 were not "long" games, although they were very good and had replay value. Sports games are unfair comparisons, because you can always play another game with your friend, so they don't "wear" out. I'm actually in the middle of playing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and from what I hear, it has great replay value, because you can replay the game in diffirent characters. If I were the President of United States, I would propose an amendment to the Constitution to require all games to have perspective select feature. |

One thing if we were talking about single player games then morowind would be the #1 time consuming game ever. |
this person has sense.
i dont care what other game there is , morrowind takes BY FAR the most amount of time
what is this deus ex??? that takes a couple days
morrowind can/will last months
check theelderscrolls
.com forums and you'll see. the game is still alive and kickin' . mods are being developed as we speak. if you look at it two years when it was released , the change has been massive. ragdoll physics to modern and scifi settings helps
there are two official Expansions for the game as well you guessed it Tribunal and Bloodmoon
if you smart it is morrowind hands down
Ummm... I think you should look over what the title of the topic is.
You're clearly talking about the PC game, which is the only version that has mods developed and being developed for it.
Halo. It was in my xbox for more than 3 months straight. One of the best games ever.
DUDE now thats what i call a game..it look me 70 hours tofinish that game
cos every time i booted that game i spent a good 5 -6 hours staring at the graphical quality of that game
im waiting for an GOTY version
Ninja Gaiden owns but it is in no way an RPG. It has RPG elements, but it is a pure action game.

think outside the box
xbox version can be modded
Halo hands down...

Halo
Sports Games (World Championship Snooker & Topspin)
i dont know why there is discussion still , its obvios that morrowind wins this
and it did win it , halo dont count since its so populaire

it was free too
now its just gei
cant beilve people still play that. i remember the dc v1 -> v2 transition period
and that soccer field at the basement of the lobbies noone played andthosefamitsu cups
it was fun thou
why is your name __
Halo for sure, I have played that game into the ground its not even funny. Morrowind is one of those games that I got and really wanted to like but for some reason I just could not get into it at all. I dunn what it was for me I just found it slow and couldn't bring myself to play it even through the first few hours. Knights of the old republic is somthing I am just getting into I am only about ten hours into it so far but I'm enjoying it and can see myself wasting a lot of time with it. I must say that in the not so distant future I can see myself spending way to much time playing a small hand full of games. Fable really comes to mind when that game comes out I am sure I will find myself infront of the xbox way to much. I won't even comment on halo 2 or doom 3 those should be expected.
I can spend up to 4 hours a day playing halo in the summer. On XBC of course.
halo no doubt
Every sunday night is Halo night. 4 xbox system link. almost always have 16 people at some point in the night.
and then there are the smaller halo nights midweek with only 3 xboxs and 8 people
.
Morrowind has taken me so fucking long... I am getting the GOTY edition cos I got the original version and that fucks up so yea... but yea its taken me so fucking long to get up to where I am
Ive played halo 5 times more than all other games put together. Oh and ur member # 104226 not 104224.
Halo here. I play on XBC a ton... great fun, except for the hackers.
I gotta try out Morrowind, if it's that fun. Could someone tell me what it's like in a nutshell?
thats cause fkin pso on xbox blows goat nuts. its days from dc are long done
morrowind is fkin GARGANTUAN. you choose what race and class you are in the beggining or you can make you own. theres the main quest you can do from the start but you can go anywhere in the map you want taking quests
u gotta get the pc ver it kicks the shìet out of it
Speaking of... how many people import their games?
Does anyone else notice that they just don't put teh effort into game finale's that they used to? I mean, the only satisfaction from beating a game now is personal, there's no like 2 hour CG movies that kick ass or anything. I mean, the last one I remember being cool was FF7, after putting 65 hours into a 4 disc game at least I gotta a decent length movie - if I remember right, might have just been that was my heavy drug use period. I feel like I'm beating Rampage on the Nintendo over and over again with these games today (50 levels that ends with Congratulations! then back to the main menu, literally)

My girlfriend has played Animal Crossing every day for the last 9 months. Ok, maybe she misses 1 day per month but she plays at least an hour a day. When she was starting out she was playing for about 4-6 hours a day. |
Mine does the exact same thing, maybe she's cheating on us both.
My vote went for Morrowind also, I really hated it when I first got it, but everyone kept going on about how good it is and it grew on me. The first hours playing it with no sword and getting killed by "FUCKING BIRD THINGS!" twenty times drove me insane, but you can really lose yourself in it.
KOTOR and Halo on legendary while I had a working Xbox...I expect Halo 2 to replace both of them (I demand it, dammit!)
without a doubt, Tiger Woods 2004
good fuckin lord, i play that till the sun comes up.
gotta get more money...
fable is god....so is burnout 3. but from the list, HALO. there is no other.
QUOTE (Big_L @ Sep 17 2004, 04:47 PM) |
fable is god.... |
yeah
a 5 hour god
real time consuming
Morrowind has sucked up the most of my play time so far. Halo is a close second. Third would be the Tiger woods games. 2005 is getting ALOT of play time right now.
Why isn't GTA Vice City or GTA3 in the poll?
Vice City took more time than Halo.
The reason that I spend so much time playing KotOR is because I enjoy it. I must have played through the game about 150 times. Each time I try a different build with different classes. I always go light-side and then go through again as dark-side. I have to admit, though; dark-side offers more in the way of entertaining dialog options.
1.splinter cell:pandora tomorrow
2:counter-strike
3:halo
I'm going on 10 hours in Fable and I've only done a couple sidequests.
lord knows i've played several dozen hours of SW battlefront at this point...
yeah i was very disapointed in Fable first time around. But now i'm replaying it and taking my sweet time, collecting all the weapons and clothing, doing all the sidequests and getting houses in all the towns and i'm enjoying it way more now. I also think not worrying so much about good/evil makes the game more enjoyable. Be good in quests, kill some bandits, but steal what you want, kill major characters, eat those crunchy chicks, and still end up 75% good
As for Morrowind...so deliciously wonderful. i'm having withdrawals. By far the game i've most spent time playing in my life. Herrowind.
