Title: Submenu Editor Script
Post by: Pyro0623 on December 15, 2005, 02:38:00 AM
Great idea (if it worked). i downloaded this through the XBMC scripts script, if that makes sense, when i launch it it says it cant find my dialogsubmenu.xml in the current skin folder, but my submenu works so it's obviously there, i even checked out of disbelief. any help from those that have it working, or got it to work would be very helpful. thanks

mine does the same thing.
i am just wondering if they type of tv makes a difference.  i use a widescreen plasma tv. but u wouldn't think it would make a difference cuz the file to edit is in the same folder no matter what tv.
very interesting.

Yeh i can't suss it out either ?

My xbox is pal, but modded and runs ntsc mode for hidef reasons, but my dialogsubmenu is in the pal folder, and the submenu script is already set to pal.

Where are you supposed to put this anyway ?, i put it in the scripts folder and tried the apps folder but it don't work, can't find dialogsubmenu.xml

Anyone got this figured yet ?

It seems to look in the directory the region directory your xbox is set to even though the skin may not be in that region folder sad.gif

Rockstarr

At first I was getting the "can't find dialogsubmenu.xml.  Then I went and got the new version with xbmcscripts installer and now it opens and you can edit the files.  It just doesn't save the edited files.  My XBMC is set to PAL16x9 and it saved it to the PAL skins folder but not the PAL16x9 folder.  I went and copied from the PAL folder and then I can use my edited submenu.  I don't know which file it edits for the custom menu so I couldn't copy that one.
