No, you're limited to the number of trials you get.
And while Kai is free, it only supports games that support system link, which isn't all that many in the 360 world. And for less than 5 bucks a month you'd be a fool to think Live can be beat.
absolutley right there. when it was only the good ol' xbox 1, xlink kai was a really good choice as opposed to xbl. but these days, especially with a lot of games not supporting system-link play, there is no real choice. and becasue the games are designed for wan links, there is often quite a lot less lag, because there are not the extra overheads that there is with kai

Can't you just keep making 1 month Gold trials on Premium's anyways? That is basically free.

Just picked up 1 yr of Gold for $89 canadian. Came with the camera, headset, couple hundred points and a couple of free games. Seemed like a bargin to me considering that the camera was going for $50 and a year of Live by itself was $60. Totally worth it.
well it is a good deal. so is the live starter kit. but its not real good for everyone, we don't all need the cameras, although you could sell them on ebay
