why wouldn't it be on a friday or even a weekend, i mean people have to work or go to school and stuff so getting it on a weekday mite be hard for alot of ppl, weekend days or fridays seem rite, i say it will be released sumtime on the 4th
I'm going to be a bastard and play devil's advocate by saying: MS likes to do things different, especially with their sophomore console (the first one they did "by the book" as they learned the market). They didn't unveil the console like other companies have in the past who say's they're going to release like other's have in the past?

Sorry took me so long to post, but i no longer have a stable internet connection. I'm in the Navy and now live onboard a ship until I find a place. Guess now ya'll know the reason I'm not on alot. On the ship, (mines at least) they block the XS forums.
Well, I've been going back to that Gamestop and made friends with the manager. According to him, he is and some other GameStop Managers are gearing for that launch date i posted about, so I don't know. Least mines is paid off and he will make sure there is one there for me incase I am unable to make it on that date. Duty something only military folks know about.
about whoever asked about PSP.. yea you can mod it. Pretty neat I must indeed say. I did the external wi-fi antenna mod to it and the range I get is damn near 3-5 times what I used to get. (I currently just park in a parking lot and high jack wireless internet from some residential houses/apts after my PCS phone battery dies). I mostly use it though for the emulators you can put on it. Back to what matters 360.
Well, I'll be making trail back in the scene.............
dont apologize for being busy, youre going something honorable
hey deftec i read the posts and i see thatt its prob a thurs. but u know why? like im not oposing it im just curious, why thursday? is thatt like normally the least busy day or something? or is it just randomly consistent
check my previous posts in this thread bro, I posted all dates and days for sys launches.
it speaks volumes. backtrack and look.....
hell, here it is...
Atari Jaguar = November 4th 1993 (Thursday)
Sega Saturn = May 11th 1995 (Thursday)
Playstation = September 9th 1995 (Saturday)
N64 = September 30th 1996 (Monday)
Sega Dreamcast = September 9th 1999 (Thursday)
Sony PS2 = October 26th 2001 (Thursday)
MS Xbox = November 15th 2001 (Thursday)
Nintendo Gamecube = November 18th 2001 (Sunday)
Nintendo DS = Nov. 4th 2004 (Wednesday)
Sony PSP = March 24th 2005 (Thursday)
MS Xbox 360 =
and with game dates being the 3rd or 4th, it would make it the same as xbox. I had xbox games on november 9th, and the sys launched on the 15th.
3rd or 4th for 360 games, and possibly the 10th for the system.
Just a hunch, but I have past dates to back it up a bit is all. The 10th or 17th, I stand by those dates.
Again, Reasons why it "Probably" will Not be released on the 4th..
#1. Its a Friday
#2. The date isnt close to being the 15th.
#3. ...goes along with #2. All of MS launches, be it the Xbox, Live, or Halo 2, have been November 9th or the 15th.
#4. Launch date for Xbox games was the 9th. A FULL week b4 the system was out on the 15th. Launch date for 360 games is the 2nd or 4th. It could very well be planned the same way Xbox was, with the system hitting a week later.
I'm just going to add one thing to Deftech's argument as I have reason to believe it will be released on the 3rd of November.
Games typically arrive at stores 2 or 3 days ahead of their release date. Why, you ask? Because stores can hide a box or two of games in the back; inventory is not sacrificed too greatly. Consoles themselves are more difficult to put in the back of a tiny EB or Gamestop. For this reason, gaming stores typically only have 4 or 5 consoles on hand at one time unless a major release title is coming. But the supply of non-launching consoles never reaches above 10.
With that said, for security reasons and store inventory space reasons, launching consoles, are shipped overnight in large palettes. Because greater than 10 consoles is required, stores cannot store the 40+ systems in the back. This shipping option costs major cash... a luxury that the launching titles themselves do not enjoy because they are not as important and don't take up as much space if they arrive early.
My point is, if all the stores are registering receipt of the launch titles on Nov. 1st, that means they "expect" them that day, not that they launch that day. The games may arrive the Nov. 2nd, but they will still be there on time. Finally, since launch titles may top 15 titles @ 50 copies of each game, stores cannot store this many boxes in inventory; therefore, 2 days is the usual maximum amount of time between "expected" arrival and launch. Thus, Nov. 3rd (a Thursday) is most probable.
It's all a delicate balance between shipping titles/consoles on time and keeping inventory space at a minimum footprint.
thats waht i looked like waiting in line for the first xbox it kinda sucks to have a new system come out on a weekday people probably miss work it would be cool to see just how many people miss school and work on that day, anyways i believe 360 will be out on the aniversary of the xbox i would bet on it,yime to plan for an excuse in advance because i wont be at work.im really looking forward to get my hands on WORLD AIRFORCE finally a flight sim on line, hey! you can be my wing man anytime.
thats how i got my hands on halo 2 while it was reserved everywhere else the guy at wallmart had 5 under the counter i guess for his buddies and he said that they were out i was like dude whats that uder the counter he like oh i didnt notice those.. sure buddy let me get it...

Actually, that release date for N64 isnt entirely correct. That was the original release date, but somewhere between 3-6 weeks prior to the launch Nintendo moved the launch ahead one day, to Sunday the 29th. I have no idea how i remembered that
What a RIP OFF! EBGAMES
I am definitely sure that I wont be getting their retarded bundle. I just cant believe how much of a rip off the core bundle is.
Cant you fucking understand that nothing is real until the fucking monopoly guy says it , no date is fucking real until SoftMicro says so.
At least someone else here understands.
There are alot of us who are mature and make a good name for this community, but I question others who get worked up over the biggest bs things.

What a RIP OFF!
EBGAMES
I went to GameStop yesterday to pre-order my 360. The girl working there gave me a printout of all of the 360 games in their system and the release dates.
7 games have a date of 11/15. 3 have 11/17. 1 has 11/18. 1 has 11/21 and one on 11/22.
She said most of those dates were just changed in the past couple of days. It seems like a 11/15 or 11/17 launch unless those dates are wrong.
I say the 15th..its the anniversary..
