Ok i bought an xbox 360 vga cable,  I plugge done end into the xbox 360 and my graphics card says it's VGA compatible but theres only one small slot on it for monitor or xbox so i'm screwed i have a long slot on it so do i need something else to have both connected at same time otherwise i can have monitor or nothing lol

Okay basically the VGA cable works by connecting the 360 directly to the VGA/analog input on the monitor. It has nothing to do with the PC or graphics card. If you want to use both the xbox and the pc on one monitor you should invest in a KVM 2 port switch. This basically allows you to connect 2 vga outputs (the pc and the 360) into one VGA input (the monitor) and allows you to choose which input you wish to use by switching inputs on the KVM switch.
