Title: Wd250 Gb Hard Drive Flashing Problem
Post by: rune-san on December 05, 2010, 09:03:00 PM
It sounds like you've copied the actual *partition* 3 from your 20GB drive to your 250GB drive. You just need to copy over the content *inside* partition 3.

Recreate your partitions on the 250GB drive (reflash it to do it quickly), then place the 250GB drive in your Xbox 360 and have it format the drive. You should see 229GB free. From there, you can connect your 250GB HDD to your computer and copy the *contents* of Partition 3 of your 20GB HDD to the Partition 3 of your 250GB HDD.

looks like you are right. i did copy everything on partition 3.
looking at this tutorial : http://digiex.net/gu...x-360-slim.html

it seems i should only copy the "Content" folder and the "compatibility" folder.

And i should do backup partition 2 to have the software allowing xbox 1 games to be played once the new drive is installed.

Then i should use xplorer again to restore the image from partition 2.

And FINALLY, i should download XPLORER 250GB to do the copy/paste of the content and compatibility folder.

ill be trying this tomorrow.

I copied "Compatibility" and some other folder from Partition 2 of my old 20gb drive with Xplorer360 to my desktop

used Xplorer360 250gb to import the folders to partition 2 and 3.

Dashboard was updated already, all profiles are there, and all game saves as well. 220GB Free.

Thanks !!
