Ok, I know yall are tired of newb questions, but......Suspose I cloned my stock 360 hard drive onto a 3.5" SATA hard drive, connected it to a 12V power source, and then found a way to connect it to the hard drive connector on the side of my 360. After all that, is it possible that the 360 would recognize the new hard drive? If not, what else would be necessary (I realize that we might not know at this point).

Well, AFAIK it hasn't been tested, and IIRC the pinout for the connector is in the Free60 wiki. It'd be cool if you could test it smile.gif

I think I'll do it tonight.

Ok, need some advice:
What type of connector do I need to connect the 2.5" HDD to my PC?
How should I go about making a connector to attach the new HDD to the 360?
Do you think I need a 20 gb or would a larger one be just as good?

I am pretty sure someone tried this, and it didnt work, I cant find it as the search fucntion is not working but I can definately remember reading something along these lines last week.

Edit: its the larger hard drive thread, a few threads below this one, after just skimming through it, it looks like some progress has been made since it was started
