Title: Anyone Tried Xbox 1 Mod Chip On X360?
Post by: bucko on December 19, 2005, 03:46:00 PM
Hi, I did search with X-S google search but got nothing, sorry if already posted. I don't have an X360 but I know there is an LPC section on the motherboard, has anyone tried soldering an Xbox 1 chip to it and see what would happen? Obviously you would need to find the D0 hole happy.gif.

It was just a random thought I had, I assume it wont even fit and nothing will happen anyway I guess. Worth a try though, I'm guessing the LPC layout is different.

ummm, did someone just hijack this mods posting ability? How about since the systems are totally different, nothing would happen. The Bios, is different, the security is different, and the kernel is different. Just because something appears to be a LPC does not mean it is. I'm not saying there is not one on the 360, but I think M$ learned their lesson with that one, they even tried to remove it from the original xbox.

What's worse is that yesterday I used this as an example as "pure speculation" while defending the newly pinned topic.
