sounds like a great way to write off 10M on the taxes as the format is dead and sales will suffer from it in the end.  Try to clear out the inventory as fast as possible and move on.

It is nice that they are doing something for those that purchased HD DVD.  They could have offered nothing.   Now which new game am I going to buy?

Wait, wait, wait.

I purchased my HD DVD addon from Best Buy about 14 months ago. But I don't think BB has my address in their computer. So will they still send me a coupon via my address tied to my credit card?

That'd be sweet. biggrin.gif

its cool they are doing this. they certainly dont have to. i just dont get why the hd dvds are still in the $25-$30 range when hd dvd is just about dead... doesnt make sense to me. still.. my gf bought my 360 hd dvd player add on thing, so im glad shes getting the $50 to a store that she'll most likely shop at for me!

Great news for me as well.  That $135.67 purchase just keeps getting better and better.

How about a rebate from MS since I purchased my HD-DVD addon for 360 on eBay 6 months ago.

Anyone else going along with this?
I hope this is a joke.

The petition did not save HD DVD. A petition will not get you a rebate on something you bought second hand from Ebay.
