In Mexico, for example, Catholic marriage beliefs have such a foothold on the population that if you're not married by the time you're 40, everyone around you will treat you like a leper in the business and home. I agree with gaining wisdom over a series of relationships, but lean more towards the notion that men just aren't ready to grow up until they're 40 and older.

I disagree. i think her opinions are just that HER opinions based on HER experiences. She is not speaking from a "world" view here. She is speaking from her own personal opinions/experiences. And, really all that can be gleaned from that is the satisfaction you get when you read something interesting. My opinion about sex before marriage is that, purely love is an is a higher state of mind and if that is true
Then sex should not influence love in any way, but it can being you closer to some one and is a big step in any relationship.
I personally would rather sleep with a woman before marriage because i believe it will bring me a lot closer to them, and the fact i would just feel more comfortable with a woman after i slept with her.
You make a connection through sleeping with some one will never go away as long as you know youve slept with them. Some people make a very good connection some people make a bad connection.
