Still yes, when the version compability is solved so those with modded content can't cheat playing against users with the original non-modded game.

Very impressive. I do trust you, although I have some doubts as not once did you show the view from the actual car itself. Show me a video with the speedometer of the car going from zero and I will believe you.

Very cool. I'm new to Forza hacking but not to Forza. I bought the game when it first came out and have been playing it up till a couple months ago when I finally lost interest. With the release of Forza 2 coming soon it is only a matter of time before more people do the same. What I would like to know is if there is a way to release pre-packaged cars/models. This would prevent cheating and add new content to an aging game.
thanks

Thanks, I haven't had much spare time to look at further at this but the version incompabilty is now solved so users can't cheat on XLink playing modded cars against honest players.

Give me a day or two and I'll get something out to test with.

i'm curious about one thing with the antihack stuff.  if there are 2 xboxes on the same network playing a network game (not sure if forza can do that or not, if it can not ignore this post, if it can keep reading) can the boxes still use the cheat?  me and my nephew often play other games like this and i was curious.  it would be kinda fun to race at 1000mph.  if it can't be done that way well so be it,

Yeah, the plan was to release the tools to make self-signed ca2 files, but to add some sort of incompatible changes on-the-fly so your forza with custom ca2 files won't work with a forza with regular ca2 files.

From what I have leared, you can add certain (i'm not telling what) stuff to the ca2 files which actually breaks network play if the other player have a ca2 file without those changes.

This would enable network play with custom changes.

Anyways... the problem is that those changes are very easily spotted by someone which does a compare between to cab files. And from what I have seen by some other comments in this forum, I'm not amused. So this is actually the showstopper at the moment. I'm not willing to trash xlink-forza with the popularity that Forza enjois on Xlink.

Just a note to the cheaters (_NOT_ you h2o): stopp badmounting people, and go play your cheats PGR2 and Halo2 instead.

There's also the problem of people stealing the credits, ie. embedding the tools in another vb-gui and stuff.

If there wasn't for people like ******* **** it would be released a long time ago (yeah thanks...)

I have tested cars with 1000mph, and it isn't actually that funny. Really. It's just like running another car with max speed 200 in 200. There's som flanky physics messing it up.

Yeah, the physics doesn't give the impression of a super sonic run - however at top speed you will see the surrounding objects and texture fly by pretty fast and avoiding colliding with regular racers can be a bit of a trouble as you come up on them so fast.

The best thing I enjoy about the modding is that one can now fully customize more or less all cars (- paint job / vinyl from the menu of the race cars currently), and not be dependant on the semi-customizable options in the game originally. Ie. Window tint on the BMW, bigger rims, bigger break discs, bigger break calipers, larger wheels, lover ride height, etc.

With full RGB customizable colour settings one can also choose between 16.7 million different colours for each and every car.

Edit: By the way - it's 1000 km/h not mph. Benchmarked to 1250 km/h (or so) which is pretty exact the speed of sound under normal conditions (which was my goal).

How fast can you do the quarter mile drag strip?
Title: Forza Motorsport Video
Post by: DOS4GW on August 21, 2006, 12:20:00 PM
None of my cars are tuned for the 1/4 mile as I don't find much joy in a few secs of racing then 30 secs loading. I've tested the 3000GT with TCS on and I got it down to about 6 secs after a few tries. However any car can be tweaked to do the 1/4 in probalby half that time.

Sweet. Now that the anti-cheat patch thing is done, got an estimate for the release of this awesome modification?

Its tested and working, but as stated it's not release ready because of the reasons mentioned. Don't expect anything right away. It's done when it's done so to speak.

There are still many unknowns, especiall when it comes to the tracks. I don't know whats what, but it would be funny do add a lot of cones in the middle of the road, don't you think ? smile.gif

It is possible when the car.carbin is cracked and the LOD files containing the parts from the race cars are copied over to the regular cars.

This has not yet been attempted from our side.

Hows it going DOS4GW? I had to add the 'UK_' bit to my name (username already taken, damn!!), glad to see there is still progress in releasing the tools to the masses. Forza has taken quite a backstage for me lately (having an attempt at putting a skin theme together for Mc360) although I do miss the fun of Forza especially over Xlink-kai with 'good' racers like jake242, Sbailey and the usual guys. Maybe your tools will breathe some freshness into Forza for us all.
It's interesting that even though the video has been compiled and released there are still those that doubt  rolleyes.gif ........  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Anyway keep up the great work and take my best wishes.  wink.gif

Torrents:  Do not post them, and do not post Links or Urls to Torrents Link Sites. We treat them as direct and indirect links to warez. (don’t waste our time and yours arguing how they are good for legal file dissemination as we don’t want to hear about it.)

Got a problem to follow the no torrent policy (that includes whats done above), sidestepping site word filters?

The rules apply to EVERYONE!

From what ive seen from the video, any hacked car will be S-class anyway, any decent forza player knows it all about A-class racing and drifting

So who cares if people have hacked S-class cars, because people rarely race S-class

DOS4GW is a xbox-scene moderator on a power trip, just look at some of his answers to peoples questions,he even bans people who disagree with him!! i could be next :-<

Thats what xbox-scene is for to share information and help people out,so why doesnt he help forza fans repack, ive tryed myself with a few programs, but no luck,if i ever get it working ill be sure to tell you guys

Forza 2 will be out early next year, and forza modding more dead then it is now

I beg to differ.......forza is about all classes, d to p1

a class cars can be hacked too, why wouldn't they(theres more to hacking than simply upping the hp or lowering the weight)

the reason the tools aren't released is cuz they are powerful in the wrong hands......... any idiot would know that forza 2 would have many similar "weak points" like forza has......

therefor if a tool hacking forza....could easily be used(to some extension) or re-developed into be used in forza 2

Any hacked car will NOT be a S-class. You can hack a car to be whatever you want without regarts to car performance, just take a look at cars.xml or whatever, and you'll se that you can change it to whatever you want.

also dont give me this "it will upset the balance while playing"  people can and will notice differences when people try and cheat online.

Biggest problem as I hear it, is time....... Dos wants the tools to be non-reversable..... which means that no mediocre hacker can reverse-engineer his work.

Yeah its hard work alright.....

But you realy shouldnt think these peoples are gods or anything.. They are mediocre programmers...
Maybe medium skill level at the highest...... With maybe one years experiance of coding C/C++ anybody could figure this out....

And Ya you are pulling everyones fucking strings by teasing us.. You excpect us to beg to know how to do this.?? :/

LOL, they figured out the recompression scheme of cars.ca2... Like holy radaition batman, thats not sooooo teriblyyy difficult to do!!

Everybody here that cant program has been waithing for a tool to repack cars.ca2.. For the past year (prob longer :/)
Or at least the info on how to repack it...

And now we have proof that someone figured it out......
And now your showing off!!!

Don't exepect me to kiss anyones ass for the knowledge of howto: do this, even a moded cars.ca2 file beacuse i will not do it!

Sorry for the lack of presens. If you're a windows guru and will be able to create a nice frontend for the tools let me know and we'll see if we can provide some sort of documentation for you.

We have some issues resembling one of the files after implementing the modded content version checker. Without it being properly secured anyone can just change it back and use the mods to cheat and race with tweaked cars against honest users. I'm not going to ruin the best XLink racing game for any honest XLink fans just so a handfull rants can cheat away.

Just as another thing to consider. While you spend so much time trying to find a way to make it so you can't cheat online. Someone can just find a way to undo the work you have already done if they really wanted to. So my question is: What's the point? Plus why won't you just release to the people here and not make it fully public? You know like private transfers between you and another member.  Also I'd like to use this online with my friends so we could have 600 mph+ races.  biggrin.gif  Will it support sys link as long other racers have the modified files?

Plus how big is forza on Xlink? I don't like Xlink as it does not like me. I have XBC and I never see more that 2 severs up at a time with no more than 3 people racing (let me rephrase that) ...no more than 3 people drifting at one time.

EDIT: is there a timer on the edit button?

Yeah, I know.... It was rather painful. But now I'm back to being bored as hell again... Now I'm working on mods for NFSMW. now a 500+ mph car ramming a road block would be fun for quite some time, along with car weight changes and such.
