Before people start doing stupid things...

Yeah this exploit is the real one. It was not intended to be released to the
masses, yet. However now it is out.

If you want to use it, you must copy everything in the archive (eu/us version)
to your XBOX and then choose the savegame and choose checkpoints or
how the point is named in the menu.

Ohh and ... this exploit will only work if there is NO other splinter cell savegame
It must be alone in the directory... otherwise the exploit WONT work

i got the pal version, and changed it so it loaded evox or unleashx, i imagine that someone else might do this for ntsc too, if anyone wants it i should see if xbins might host it or PM me or something.

now it is basically the same as the 007 and MA saves that load evox directly

ok it seems it s workin but what is the advantage compared to the previous xbox-linux mechinstaller (i already know that mechinstaller was build with ms xdk, so not legal to distribute contrary to splinter cell installer which was built with free tools, if i m correct...)

but for the utilisation; for mechassault, we just needed the game once at the beginning to install the exploit

and for splinter cell? are we obliged to insert the game every time ?
or the installer leaves some special fonts that changes the ms dash?  <

if the exploit uses the -habibi key you should just be able to copy the mechinstaller files to the splinter cell gamesave and use it

otherwise you can FTP any exploit you want via evox after loading the gamesave  <

The MechInstaller has NO XDK code in it.

The advantage of Splinter Cell Installer over MechInstaller is, that
it supports FOCUS.

it does put new fonts on that change the ms dash's live option to LINUX, which i think runs a file in c:linux that the installer puts on, I didn't really fiddle with linux much, i just changed it so it ran evox instead, imo more useful that way.  <

Hopefully someone can at least cleanup this hack. Seems like there's alot more useless shit in here, especially some of the install.xbe's...which is odd considering you can't open the DVD tray.

EDIT: Erm, nm, http://xboxfiles.web1000.com/ has a clean copy, albeit the NFO is confusing.

Sorry you must find your own "Install.xbe" for it. Use the one from Mordens if you need it.

the install.xbe can be any .xbe file you want, as long as its habibi signed with xbe dump, just get a copy of evox or whatever u want it to load, and get the default.xbe file from it, rename it to install.xbe and sign it and chuck it in there and you should be fine

UPDATED**Morden's SplinterCell Audio Hack is fixed. Redownload the rar from the link above.

By the way sorry for not notifying you Morden, I figured I didn't edit it, I just merged the two hacks together.

Still cant get the save inside the AR so I can transfer to memory card.

Downloaded latest audio hack, inserted habibi signed install.xbe file but still get the same message "This is not a valid Xbox save".

Ok I already installed gamesave into AR (erased the whole 553000 folder and placed install.xbe on 00000000 folder).

The gamesave is named Linux Installer in AR. I transferred to MS memory card, erased all Splinter Cell saves, transferred to Xbox HD. Put Splinter Cell on Xbox and no profiles at all for me to boot off?  

Is it because I have Live 2.0 Dash?

Any pointers?

 huh.gif  I am missing a step on creating a splintercell-installer FATX image so I can use OzXMemory Stick Explorer ( just like) Mechinstaller step outline in http://xbox-linux.so...owtoswprep.html.

Appreciate if someone can share how I can turn from eu_pack.tar to an splintercell-installer FATX image.

I have on hand : Original unmodded Xbox, Xbox-to-usb cable, 128M memory stick. I am successful in getting mechinstall copy to xbox, but just could not get the game. I do have splintercell thus is desperate to try to get this to work.

I am currently using Live 2.0, so i know i cant install the audio exploit on that dash, but i got the gamesave hack to work and use the pheonix loader to boot into evox, is there anyway i can avoid the reset on eject? I have heard that this is impossible from a gamesave hack, as when the game is loaded the reset on eject is turned on and cant be turned off?

or do i just need a new bios? if i do need a bios can anyone suggest which one will work with pheonix loader 1.3 and allow me to eject?

Currently, no BFM bioses can fix the problem. But if you want to use the audio exploit and still have live 2.0, go to http://forums.xbox-s...5&t=102190&st=0

neosparq:  make sure you have the xbe file signed with the habibi key.  Get a copy of xbedump.exe and use the command:

xbedump filename.xbe -habibi

then rename the file out.xbe that it creates to whatever it is supposed to be for the save.

Loading the exploit on the modded XBOX boots it into EvoX.


Can anyone shed light on my woes?

I have the exact same situation and equipment as you, all the way down the the mad catz mem card. I did exactly what you did and was successful.  The only difference is that my unmodded box is a 1.1 . Thats the only thing I can think of, but I really have no idea if that would affect this. What version is your modded box? Also you don't have other SC saves on your HD right?

No other SC saves, have tried signing with habibi, and my modded XBOX is 1.0 or 1.1 (not sure which).

Sorry to say but I can't help you any further. All I can say is that it LOOKS like its a XB version problem. All I wanted to use this for was to ftp modded halo cache files over to unmodded boxes for system link. It worked great by the way.
Now that nobodyimportant has shed light on the whole habibi thing for me I think I'm gonna try to get HCE to boot from splinter cell. Anybody have any words of warning for me? Also, if I delete the saves will it get rid of the xbes that were with them.

Hey all, I figured out the problem I was having booting to EvoX.  Yep, that's right, it was the MadCatz memory card.  I used a standard MS card and it worked 1st try...


Heheh, only now I'm having difficulty flashing my TSOP.  EvoX tells me the !! Flash Not Writeable !! -- I've tripple-checked my solder points accoring to the v1.5 tutorial here (http://www.xbox-scen...tsop-images.php)... any suggestions on that one?

what bios do you have? it may be a winbond which can only be flashed with raincoat.

I had 2 winbonds I had to get done, so I took the 007 stuff, and modified it to the splinter cell version...
works great.

Nope, you can't eject the DVD tray with gamesave exploits installed, however check out Morden's Audio Exploit, it fits on a memory card and installs the audio hack, where you can use the DVD tray for crap.

You could pack your save game with PBL and Evox like I did : http://forums.xbox-s...ic=182161&st=15
You would be running a hacked bios and could eject all you want. Even access the F-drive. In your case also put BoXplorer in the save game. That way you could easily copy the files from a DVDR to the correct places on the HD.
Hmm. I guess these a pretty much also the files that Mordens contain...
