Title: Dvd Disc Playback Choppy
Post by: akarnid on February 27, 2003, 11:10:00 PM
Ehm, XBMP is not a DVD player.  It can play ifo files and some portion of VOB files, but that's it. The Xbox is a fine DVD player in itself tho.   Just use either the DVD playback kit, or DVDX2 (which enables DVD playback w/o the remote).

Thanks for this information.   I'm only a week old...

Ok, then the playback is not suppost to be smooth.    It does play the vob files.

The original dvd xbox player, is very fast with memus and switching chapters.

It's a lot faster than my standalone dvd unit.

Thanks....
