Title: Slingbox Video Streaming On Xbox Media Center
Post by: slumberpod77 on July 17, 2006, 11:01:00 AM
doesn't look likely. the player "requires" you to use the proprietary SlingPlayer software to access streams from the device. proprietary generally means it'll require reverse engineering to make it work with open source projects. seeing as how XBMC uses a relatively old version of mplayer, i doubt that your XBMC will be able to talk to your slingplayer any time this year...

Just got done setting up a Slingbox here recently and was thinking that it would be nice to be able to stream the video from an Xbox (Media Center).  Is there anyway this can be done?  Can this be done?

Thanks for the reply.  I just had to ask, after searching through the forums and didn't find anything.   Hope it happens.  It would be a nice little addon...
