What ftp client are you using, and are you using 10.3.2 on your Mac?

I use Textedit to edit all the .ini and .xml files.

I save them as .ini or .xml, whatever they are on the xbox.  If i ever want to configure/edit them, I have set Textedit to open all .ini's or .xml's

I heard Xlink was being ported over to Mac OSX.  Once the beta version of rc3 is finished for windows, they will start working on a Mac version.

YAY!

has anyone tried cyberduck to connect to your xbox? It looks alot easier than most ftp apps and its free.

Haven't tried it yet, but i might have to download it and see how it compares to the others.

I solved my ftp woes by switcing from Evox dash to UnleashX dash:

I think Toast may be fine afterall, more likely the .iso I was
starting with were not clean to begin with and that is why
I was having troubles.

For anyone having problems with Evox you have to disable the Mac firewall temporarily in order to FTP in.  You can still leave your router firewall on, however.  I use both, but I turn off the Mac firewall before I connect and turn it back on when I'm done.

PM me if you need a link to websites to download xbox software.  You don't have to use irc to find the software.  I found it on the web,  but it took a lot of poking around with google and reading numerous forums to find these sites.

Do you use FlashFXP or MIRC with virtual pc?  I heard that Interacrchy was a good ftp client but it costs $45. Has anyone ever tried using Ircle for their IRC?  Im curious to see how it compares to Snak.  We seriously need to start a MAC forum on this site for mac software and applications.

MAC's Forever BABY!!!!!!!

well besides the occasional different software needed to run something, on an xbox site there won't be much differentiation between pc, mac, linux, whatever your OS.  So there's no need for a mac forum.  Esp since all of 10 people would visit it.

transmit and interarchy have serious issues whenever the directory listing from the xbox grows beyond a certain number of files. they end up returning no files at all. this happens to me all the time.

i've tried other ftp clients as well - fetch, oxigen, vicomftp, rbrowser...they all had issues.

Can you ballpark that number?

I used X-Chat Aqua to get SlaYer's installer off IRC, and I used UnRarX to expand it.  Planning on using Toast to burn the ISO, and Transmit to back up everything to my external FW drive.  This is all under Panther OS X 10.latest.

best issues for mac

IRC: ircle (google it!)
FTP: transmit (google too)

ftp issues do not resolve in mac ftp-clients but in newest evox version.

What evox versions cause ftp problems for Mac OS 10.3 (Panther)?  Does the newest version that was just released (3935) cause any problems?

Thanks for any help.
