It was almost too easy.  He did a great job and setup EvoX even better than I could have hoped for.

Kept in contact and actually sent it back.  He went the extra mile considering I fogot to ship any of the motherboard mounting screws.  He didn't have to but he put in a couple.

All in all I would give him a 10 out of 10.

when i had him mod my xbox i was a big time noob but now i know my stuff, so whne he did it he explained to me everything that i needed to know because i was like totally lost like most noobs are at first  :D I was extremely happy with the work he did to my xbox, good price, Big Z is a very nice person to deal with too.
And as kmcelwain said... It was almost too easy.  I was alittle skeptical at first about if i was actually going to get what i wanted for a good price and if i was even going to get my xbox back....but i did get my xbox back and i got what i wanted for a great price... You got to love putting games on your hdd.  Games that you own of course *wink wink*  :D

:uhh: <-me before i got my xbox done by BigZ
 B) <-me after i got it done by BigZ
  <-me happy, celibrating with BigZ cause i got everything i wanted

Great service would not hesitate to send my xbox to him to work on it again.

I live about 120 miles away and was heading through his area on the way to visit a friend.  Called him up asked if i could drop my xbox off and get it back the next day.  He said he could get it back to me the same evening if all went good.

I dropped my xbox off around 5:30pm had him install a new hd, the mod, and install a few other things i requested.

he called me around 9pm and told me everything was up and running and could be picked up.

Took the time to show me how the dashboard worked and answerd every question I had.

I have already recomended him to a few friends and can not see anyone being disapointed in sending their xbox to get modded by him.

THANKS  :)

i just had my Xbox Modded (Modchip & HDD) by EvilGeniuz. He's very knowledgaable and did a great job at a great price. I was able to drop my xbox off and pick it up a few hours later.

When I picked it up, he hooked my xbox upto a TV and walked me through how everything works and answered any questions.

He even showed me his Modded Xbox, which he painted and a lite-up Xbox Jewel.

anyway, if you're looking for someone in the Washington DC area to install your mod for you, i'd highly recommend him.

He bought a cpu from me and the transaction went flawlessly.  He recieved the cpu and installed it and said it worked great for him, which is a good thing because when selling processors a lot of times you'll get somebody who doesn't know what they're doing and will kill the cpu, installing it wrong and try to say you sent them a dead one even though you tested it before sending it with no such problems.  No problems at all with Bigz, I would definitely reccomend trading, selling or buying from him.  Thanks again.

(i had to drive 45min each way). the chip that i got (x2.3pro) came without the external switch! he had one and put it on for free! i asked him many noob questions and he didn't mind one bit. i will definately refer all my friends to him. cool guy and even a cool dog! i highly recommened him!

BigZ is GREAT!!

He installed my HD and chip in under an hour while I waited!!  Besides that, he was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had and was very responsive to my emails.  Without a doubt, it was a truly pleasurable and no-hassle interaction, and I would do it again in a minute (and I'm sure I have several friends who'll now want to!!)

Thanks again BigZ!!!

What would your perfect modded Xbox look like?  Still looking for more feedback in our forums for your ideal mod.  Once we get enough ideas we will have a poll so everyone can vote on the best ideas and then I'll begin the mod work. I'll take some pics of it for the site and then once we get up to around 250 members or so I'll drop everyone's name in the hat and have the giveaway drawing.   Here's the direct link to post your ideal Xbox mod ideas:

Actual hardware installation took no time at all and he spent the time to go over all the software & apps to a total noob to the scene like me.  I definately spreaded the word around and I'm sure he's going to have a few more customers real soon  wink.gif

again, A++++++++++ all around.

My friend were out to get our xboxes modded.  Since BigZ had the most feedback (And positive, too) we went with him.  There's a reason he's got so much good feedback.  What's to say that hasn't already been said?  He demonstrated everything for us, answered the questions we had, and was just an overall great guy.  I'm definitely going to reccomend him to several of my friends, I already know of a few who were curious as to how the modding went.  In case you couldn't tell, it went great.

Just wanted to give everyone an update.   I'm moving to Waldorf, MD (finishing the move this weekend) where I will continue my modding business.  I apologize if I've been overly busy lately, but things should settle down once I'm situated fully in the new house.  Don't worry though, I will still be able to do local installs in the DC Metro area as I work in DC everyday.

BTW:  I'm getting more X2.3B LITE chips in this weekend (prob my last batch I'll recieve), and am considering what chip I will keep in stock for the future as they are stopping production on the X2.3B in order to get ready for the X3 chip.  Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.  I could keep stock of the Xenium ICE, X3, or any other chip.  I've always kept the X2 LITE chip in the past because it was a simple, cheap, yet reliable chip.  Let me know what you think....

Pretty much all settled in my new house in Waldorf now.  Just did three v1.6 Xboxes today with the X2.3B Lite.  Worked like a charm so I added it to my install/price list on the front now.   It will be $15 more than a regular install as I have to rebuild the LPC and solder additional wires.  I also can install Xenium's or SmartXX chips on v1.6 as long as you provide the chip.

I currently have some X2.3B Lites in stock which is probably my last batch b4 they stop making them for the X3.  We'll see though, I'll keep stocking them as long as I can get my hands on 'em.  After that I may move to stocking Xenium ICE or X3, not sure yet and looking for your feedback as to which one I should keep on hand.  Keep in mind though I can install any chip you want if you provide it.  Just let me know!

This guy is the real deal ladies and gents.

As soon as I got there Z went postal on my new, still in box 1.6

He outfitted it perfectly with the Xecuter 2.3 Lite which will be perfect for what I need to accomplish.

I also had him install a 160GB HDD that i'm gonna have alot of fun with.

The 1.6 is a little bit more indepth to mod, but BigZ took care of it in no time.

Mine was the 2nd 1.6 that he did but I would have never guessed.  He already knew about the Alt. 5V and explained everything to me without blinking an eye.

I forgot to mention, this is my 1st XBOX so I really didn't know a goddamn thing.  (including about the buttons on the controller  rolleyes.gif ) I knew before even playing my new xbox, that I would need to make a trip to Z's to get it properly outfitted.

Now, I just have one problem Z... What game should I play first  biggrin.gif ?

But in all sincerity, thanks again Z for the install and the endless amount of knowledge that you provided me with.  Hope you dont mind if I ring you up once in a while.  smile.gif  Anyone I know I'll be sending your way.

Anyone that wants a PROFESSIONAL install.  Hands down this is the guy.

I got my Xbox modded and brought a friend with me this past weekend.  The service was OUTSTANDING!  He not only showed me what he was doing but answered questions I had, showed me diagrams and explained how to's for several other things.  He is very insightful and competent.  His turn around time was ridiculous.  Went in and out faster than a chick wit' a prom dress!!!  I would recommend this cat to anyone!  Need modding get it correct dont get it twisted...get it done by:

More info on the X2.3B Lite with the v1.6 Xbox.  I will be offering to install separate wires to go to the Bank selector switch for LITE mod chip installs to allow you to successfully turn off the mod chip (before it would FRAG when turned off on v1.6, hence no XB LIVE).  It will look very similar to this link here:   X2.3B Lite switch modded

I will be charging an additional $10 for this wire switch install.  That way it is up to you whether you want it or not.  Keep in mind though that the Xenium ICE and SmartXX do not require this switch and can be successfully turned off on a v1.6 Xbox.  Any chip you provide I will gladly install for you, but I currently only personally stock the X2.3B Lite.

FYI:  I will start stocking the Xecuter 2.6 chips when the come out as they will be the same price as the 2.3B Lites and will be compatable with all Xbox versions.   Here's some info:

Xecuter 2.6

I have 20 preordered so as soon as they are released I will have some in stock. At the moment I still have around 20 or so 2.3B Lites in stock so come and get em!   As always I can install any chip you provide if you don't want Xecuter chips, just let me know and we'll get it modded!

Does anyone else think it is a bit odd that 90% of the "good job" posts for this guy are by "posters" who have like 0-2 (mostly 0) posts on this board, and when you click on their names, there is no info - kind of like if someone were to create a bunch of usernames and give themselves feedback.....

I can assure you this is not the case at all.  The reason most people have 0-2 posts here is because they came to Xbox-Scene looking for info and are very new to the scene.  Also I may be mistaken, but when you first register you aren't required to give other info such as AIM names etc.  Its only once you register and go to your Contol Panel that you can update those profile settings I beleive.

I'm not sure what your motivation is for such a false accusation, but I can assure you that all of these people are real customers.

And honestly do you think I would have a workshop like THIS if I wasn't legit?

That is because I just joined the forum.  I guess I should have asked stupid newbie questions to pump up my post count instead of using Search or reading the FAQ threads.

Looking at how you have 0 posts yourself, it's very "easy" to you seriously.

Now regarding BigZ, I personally know him, and I've seen the jobs he has done and completed, and I can assure you that his work is grade A material. So for anyone out there that still doubts him you can stop right about now, because he is legit and you have my word.

BigZ has no reason at all to create a bunch of usernames for positive feedback. He is very well known by a lot of peeps. Anyone knows that.

Look what he's done for the Xbox comunity. He's a part of the Slayers 2.6 TEAM, an OP on Slayers IRC channel giving countless hours of his time helping others and so on.

I've had the privilege of meeting him on two occasions and from my experience he's a great person to deal with.

Oh, the reason I have not had any posts here is because I can find all the answeres without being spoonfed. I just lurk in the background and read till my eyes bleed. wink.gif

Keep up the good work BigZ cool.gif

I was thinking to myself that I'm kind of stuck in a Catch-22.  I don't know if I've ever posted to this board before, but when I see someone slamming my guy, if I say, "NO, that's not the case at all.  He is great!", people will just write it off as another one of those people with little to no posts or who might even be him posing as multiple people.  So what to do?  I guess let me enlighten you a little.  You can treat this thread somewhat like ebay - a lot of people who have posted in this thread are not regular posters to the forum because they are simply writing to show positive feedback for their seller.  It's not like they are buying a kazillion things from people affiliated with this site.  Plus if you've had experience with BigZ, he is more than welcome to help people (especially people who've bought from him), with their problems and questions, because that's good customer service.  He backs up his product and he wants his buyers to be happy with their purchase so they can spread the word, so to speak, and he can get more business.  I mean, he's not just in this because he loves it, although he definitely seems to, but he's also in this for the money.  It's his business.  You're more likely to buy from someone that has good feedback and you're more likely to buy from somebody that one of your friends has referred you to.  Well, that's about all I have to say, but for future reference, before you go to slam someone (who you don't even know) or question their service which puts doubt in people's minds, don't do it.  Just walk away and know that you're a better person because you didn't resort to the tactics of most politicians.

I can't speak to cccheel's nonsense, but again, I will say this:  BigZ gave me quick and completely reliable service for my install.  He also answered any questions I had initially, as well as over the last several months that I've had the unit.  Once I found my way onto this board and found BigZ as a connection, 1 transaction was all that was really needed for me--and I really don't have a need to go onto this site for anything else.  I wholeheartedly recommend Z for service anytime..

Regards,

Yng

I wasn't necessarily accusing BigZ, I was just saying it looked fishy. However, after looking a bunch of these installer threads, it seems as though this happens quite a lot. Maybe I was just cunical because in another thread there was a case where the "people" leaving feedback all joined on the same day and had 0 prior posts.

I'll admit I am a lurker and a noob to all things xbox. I just bought a pre-modded box and have been just wandering around this site and these forums trying to learn something.

Sorry if I came off sounding accusitory, BigZ. No harm meant. Your pictures of your website speak for themselves, as do these other people taking up for you.

Hey, look at the bright side. If someone else was lurking around looking for amodder and had any reservations such as mine, at least now they would probably feel better buying from BigZ.

Once again, no harm meant. I apologize. beerchug.gif

Got the Xecuter 2.6 chips in today!  So far they seem pretty neat, especially the built in HDD and LAN activity LED's on the switch assembly.  I'll be stocking this chip from now on instead of the 2.3b Lites, but I do have a about 10 2.3b's left.  I'm taking $10 off my install prices if you want a 2.3b instead of a 2.6, so come and get them while they last!  Thanks again to everybody for the feedback, really means allot!

Ok, all my 2.3B Lite chips are sold now, yay!

I'm strictly stocking the Xecuter 2.6 Lites from now on.  So far they are working out great. Everyone seems to like the HDD and LAN activity LED's built into the front switch.  Its pretty sweet! As always if you have a different chip you want me to install I can do that no problem if you provide it.  I just don't stock tons of different chips because its just not worth my time/money.  Take care all and once again thanks for the feedback!

Where to begin???
I first got in contact with Bigz around early september....Of course the X3 kept on being delayed and delayed and then it finally came out.  I met with Bigz...he's a great guy.  Very quick and answered all of my questions right off of the bat.  Very speedy.  Gave my xbox to him on Friday night and picked up the next morning.  Everything works great.  He modded two Xboxes for me.  One's mine and the other is my brothers.  Very clean job, no wires are hanging out.  Awesome!  I would def deal with him again.  Can't wait till the X-3 control panel is out..haha  Thanks for everything... If you ever have any doubt about his service....don't hesitate to contact me.  Thanks again for the great xboxes.

Had x3 installed on v1.6 xbox, as well as a new hard drive.  Great installer, answered any questions I had while I watched him do the install.  Took onl about 1.5 hours because we had a problem with the switch I was provided with the X3 but I am trying to work that out with Sys mods.  Bigz is a seasoned vet when it comes to modding.

Hey all.............
I have almost the same reply as collinduncan, went from no xbox to 3 days later 2 of them (1 for me, 1 for my brother). I have had Bigz's forum thread marked for a while and finally bought 2 xboxes last Sunday. Emailed Bigz to set up mod appointment. I met him Tuesday and he was done with both Wednesday (it worked out he was close to where I work and delivered them...Thanks Bigz). I had him do me up right: chip,  harddrive, evox etc. I have been busy the past week and finally got a chance to xplore the xbox this weekend.  Awesome.....

I know Bigz will answer any questions I have in the future (already answered a few, thanks again).  I recommend him big time for anyone looking for xbox mods...

               Thanks, David

ps:before anyone brings it up again, the reason I have one post is I have been a lurker (no xbox) for a while and now that I have had the kool-aid, I registered to give props to Bigz and hopefully post questions and comments to the various threads out here.

I just got my X-Box modded by BigZ. He was very fast and professional. I'm a total newb at this so I'm still trying to figure out how everything works, but he's been helpful and responsive in answering my questions. I definitely recommend him for this type of work.   smile.gif

Wanted to let you know I'm moving to a new chip for my primary stock, the SmartXX LT opx.  Why? Because it has its own OS and recovery mode and its very easy to install on the new v1.6 Xboxes (since all new xboxes being made now are 1.6's).  Not to mention its cheaper than even the 2.6 Lite.

Below is a pic of the chip, check out SmartXX.com for more info.

Due to so many PS2 modding requests, I have asked ASheva10 (a long time friend and modder) to join forces with me and do all PS2 mods.  Yes, I will still be doing Xboxes, but all PS2 requests will be forwarded to ASheva10.  What does this mean for you?  The same guarantee of quality service for your Xbox or your PS2 all in one place!!

Typically have been just a lurker within these forums, but the great work here really deserves a mention.  Dropped off 4 boxes (3 of which were 1.6s) with BigZ today who promptly completed them in an hour and a half.  Great price, great service, and everything's working perfectly.  What else could be asked for?

Kudos to ya BigZ!

Just had to drop in and say a few words about my experience with Zach.

In short, he's the man!

Zach has worked on my box twice - once for the initial mod, and again to install a larger hard drive.  In both cases he was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and completley true to his word.

After a brief meet to hand off the box, I chilled out where I was, and in a short amount of time he was back, modded box in hand.

Both changes have worked perfectly, and he has answered any questions I had via email, usually within hours.  His prices are completely reasonable.  I considered what I payed a real bargain, especially when weighed against the time I would have spent trying to do what he does.

I would recommend him to anyone considering having work done.  In fact, I thought highly enough of Zach and his work that I gave his resume to my company for consideration!

Lastly, for those that haven't met him in person, the nick BigZ is ~entirely~ appropriate.  I'm not a small guy by any means, but standing with Zach, I was looking right into his chest.  The dude has to be at least 6' 7", maybe more!

Zach, when are we going to see your debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship?

This guy is the best...Marvelous Mods up in Rockville got the work first, and failed to get it working.  He gave it a good effort (through the flu) to try and get it working over the course of a week, but couldn't seem to get it going. sad.gif  I was about to give up when I remember that he had mentioned this other guy on the other side of the Beltway.

I emailed [email protected] to see if he could help me and he got back to me immediately and told me to bring it by the next day.

I met him down in Waldorf, dropped it off, and went and walked around the mall with the wife for a few.  This one took a bit longer than usual, because apparently previous attempts with the mod chip had loosened some solder on the chip.

So he REPAIRED THE X3 chip for me (above and beyond the call of duty)...and got it working.  This guy is the best, he even loaded the bios, and initialized a new had drive for me and set me up with all of the utilities I'd need to get started...

If you have any modding needs, I highly suggest giving this guy a call...

I am yet another satisfied customer...

Big Z is da man. I sent him my Xbox to get the dvd and hard drive replaced and replace the mod chip. He did an excellent job and set up the utilities that I needed. My Xbox runs better than it did when I first bought it.

I would recommend him to anyone that needs any Xbox work done.

I'm doing a "while you wait" service now for all my local customers that will come out my way.  If you come out here to Waldorf, I'll have your box modded in roughly 1 hour or less while you go to the mall, go eat or whatever.

biggrin.gif  I couldn't be happier. I decided to hike the drive of 135 miles to get it modded and it was great. I got home plugged it in and for three hours it was great. Then I changed the frame rate and couldn't figure out how to change it back  grr.gif. I ended up having to ship it off to him to fix it but it was a simple fix. I should be getting my box back on Tuesday and looking forward to it. I can not recommend him enough. If you live in the area this is the guy to go to.

I would defiinitely give him my highest reccomendation. I had a xbox 1.0 that i'd been trying to get modded for a few weeks, to the point where it was actually damaged, and he was able to take care of it in just an hour or so using an alternate method.

He was able to easily diagnose why my previous attempts to install a chip had failed, let me know  the options I had, and was still able to get it modded.

He is fast, reliable, upfront, and the service is well worth what he charges to get it all hooked up.

Thank you very much!

GREAT Work.
His timing was perfect. Took less than an hour. Z's professional and was on time. Nice guy to chat with if you ever get a chance to meet him personally as I did. Also gives you the full deal and stands behind his work.

Installed a Smartxx chip with ease and in no time with plenty of stuff(If I can ever figure how to use it uhh.gif )

I will be back with more work, from myself and I have 2 local friends. I'll contact you for another appointment.

HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!!! and worth the 1hr 15 minute hike from Baltimore, MD

My goals this week:
Bigger HDD with Extender
Jewel
Skin (need to add some color)
Lights
LCD, if I can afford it

Seemed ok through correspondence so I arranged to have not only my xbox, but also three other friend's systems modded (one of the Xbox’s needed repaired). I was a little nervous cause I knew that if things didn't go right, my friends would be P.O.'d!

Everything went incredibly smooth. He fixed and modded the dead Xbox and modded the other three in about 2 1/2 hours. Explained everything. Answered all questions. Was very honest, fair and a pleasure to do business with. My friends and I are very happy and satisfied customers. Would highly recommend.

I'm moving from just doing local installs to providing service to all modding customers! Please place any future orders through the webshop instead of via email.  Detailed information is located in the Xbox Install Services and the Premod Packages sections.

Thanks to all my customers who supported me and gave me the ability to move on up.  I look forward to doing business in the future!

I contacted BigZ on Sunday night via email, he contacted me back EARLY Monday morning...  We corresponded via email once again where we exchanged numbers, called him 10 minutes later, and he said he could do it that night...   Went out to see him on Monday after work... get out to Waldorf at 8:10...  we rap a bit, I give him the box and he says "it'll be ready in an hour, head to the Mall, go have a drink, do something"...

I get to the Mall, park, walk around for like 10 minutes...  (30 minutes total)...  My phone rings, it's him...  "it's ready!"...    Huh??!!!  Already??  "yep"

THIS GUY IS GREAT!!!   I cannot sing his praises enough....  I got on it when I got home Monday for 4 hours, and was on it yesterday for another 5 hours...  works PERFECTLY...   I'm going to have to read more about it, because it looks like it does ALOT of stuff...  I LOVE IT!!

Thanks Z!!!

If I had to complain about anything, i'd say HE WORKS TOO DAM FAST!!  (I had my mouth set on getting that drink!  LOL)  but is that a complaint??   He's professional and does GREAT work...  I'd highly recommend him..

Thanks again!!  I will certainly be sending customers your way...
