Here's my situation
Im using the nand x and coolshrimps tool the newest version 12611
I used the alternative jtag wiring aud and then connect to the dvd drive wire by using this tut
http://team-xecuter....ead.php?t=55189
If I use the tool and tell it to write xell or xellous the xbox goes dead when I try boot.
Last night I followed another tut to build a xbr image
The console booted however it did not boot xell when I pressed the eject button no matter what jumper settings I tried.
Could my jtag wiring be bad?
Should I try creating another image with different options?
I guess Im just looking for the next steps I should take.
Sorry for bein such a noob and thanks in advance for any guidance.

I believe so and I have tried a few as well. I just have this feeling like Im missing something simple.

After reading this post I tried this file but it gave me a e 79 error maybe I need to try again
original nand= boots just fine
xbr = boots but no xell
most of the time when I write xell = dead console

when I try to boot xell or xellous I get a dead console no lights nothing. Wont turn on with the power button, eject or controller. If I write the original nand it comes back to life like nothing happened.
I have one bad block at 359 but nandhealer said its ok
I used this wiring
http://team-xecuter....ead.php?t=55189
But at this point im thinking about undoing it and going with the original points the db1f1 and rol
I also have the nand x qsb in place
At this point im starting to question that too but it looks clean

Switched the jtag wiring to the original wiring, wrote xellous manually it booted no problem
Thanks for all your help
I dont know if I should be extremely happy or extremely pissed

When you flash Xell, you need to accompany it with a patched SMC. Otherwise, Xell will boot using the standard SMC, looking for signals on argon_data + DB1F1, and won't find it since you're using aud_clamp wiring.
