thats not enough information to be helped.
Do you have a Modchip?
what are you using?
Do you Have a HDTV?
tell us all the more info the better you can be helped!
Is your Hardrive Locked?
-
Ahh... sorry... my bad.
I have a first gen modchip as far as I can remember (I think an Excecuter).
I have an 100GB harddisk in there, unlocked and no I do not have an HDTV, just a regular Sony 32" widescreen...
The xbox is connected via the advanced scart cable, and usually when I turn the box on the signal automatically switches to the 2nd AV port where it's plugged in, but now it just stays on TV, so no signal (to the best of my knowledge) is even getting to the TV now...
This is also an XBOX 1.0 as far as I know (may be 1.1 but it is unlikely, I've had it since +- July/August 2002.
Thanks a billion for the quick response...

I'm assuming, since you aren't sure what kind it is, you are unable to reflash your chip. If that's the case then I really don't have any suggestion other than to get a chip which can be flashed via a USB or parallel cable or something like the Xenium which has a built-in OS with various ways to get a BIOS flashed, or even something with a cromwell which can flash from a CD-R. Then you could embed an eeprom image in M7, flash that and recover.

Hmm... kind of what I was hoping would not be suggested. But if that is what I have to do then so be it. One other thing, is there any good reason for me to get a newer version Xbox than my 1.0? That is if I cannot save my baby at all...
Many thanks

You won't have much choice unless you plan to buy a used one, but you can save your's. If you don't want to try then send it to me, sans drive. I can always use another test platform. =)

see if you can ftp in to the box. It might be running even though you have no display. if you can you might try reinstalling/deleting avalaunch, or restoring to a backup of your c: drive
