Because we all know what the used folder icon in MC360 currently is (http://www.blackbolt...ne.com/?p=forum) I thought it might be a good idea to post up your custom folder icons for TV shows, seasons, game genres, etc.

Here are my first two, they (obviously) are for Kyle XY and welcometothescene.
I'll post up more when I create them, but please share yours aswell! Thanks!

I like this because there's more space to fit a whole logo on these folders than the PMIII icon. Nice Work!

Like say. Psych, what about bryan, project runway, Blade,Brotherhood,eureka, saved, nightmares and dreamscapes,Windfall

OK here is some stolen ones, just used the ones from joymonkeys psd and changed the folder picture, some looks like crap but hey it wasn't me that used a folder image that is tilting.

Pheidias come on dude, make them properly with the angle, also your 24 logo is extremely pixelated. Put your back into it! The other guys in this forum have done well, try to catch up.

Well like I said I stole these and just redid the folder.png, I might do proper ones if I should decide to use the mc360 folders, but for now I stick with the pm3 one since It looks sweet with the mc360

That psd has atlest 40 or 50 cut outs of different shows, some of wich shouldn't be hard to tilt and use för mc360

Quick question, i'm trying to apply these images to folders residing on my comp, i've tried, both folder.jpg and "file".tbn and neither is working. I have successfully tried doing IMDB searches on popular named folders like Transformers and that brings up listings with images and I browse to the custom folder icon via the Get Thumb tab which works great for some folders but others have no IMDB images associated with them and the Get Thumb feature doesn't work when there's no thumb present to begin with. Can someone help me get these working or do I have to have the shows on my box to have these icons work properly?

I've got it working when naming them 'folder.jpg', but I also noticed that when you've had another icon before, it won't update right away.
When you delete the 'Thumbnails' folder inside 'UserData' the thumbnails will be reset and it'll look first for a 'folder.jpg' inside the folders.

Do note that this wil also delete the thumbs you downloaded with 'Get Thumb'.

Therefore I find it more comvenient to use only 'folder.jpg' inside the folders, so they never get deleted.

Obviously these are harder to create because there isn't a real logo for it. Hopefully you guys think I made the right choice!

One more thing: Again I'd like to point you to here http://forums.xbox-s...&...t&p=3586571 because I used one of the icons in the pack. It has a lot of good icons (it only has good icons), and you can use a few of the folder icons in MC360! Try it!

I'm looking for a different folder for my music.
Some CD's aren't known to CDDB and I would like to replace the standard folder.
Maybe a folder with a music note in it or a CD symbol, but other ideas are welcome!

It's fixed now...

I added a Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT icon
And I added 2 Two pints of lager and a packet of crisps icons! They worked out great, I guess I was too tired yesterday to cut them out properly

How about a 'MindFreak" icon, 'Concerts' (same style as the movies one), 'SNL' OR 'Saturday Night Live', 'NC-17' or maybe 'Mature Audiences' one.I made a Mindfreak one, but Photoshop cs2 won't let me save as a png file for some weird reason. I used the blank png folder, and made a MindFreak label from his website, and i know both images are using transparency, yet it won't let me save it as png.

I have not seen anybody using different folders for GENRE in the games section in XBMC. When having an harddrive with 250GB of space with only different games theres a lot to scroll through in the game section. Thats why it should be neat to have different folders with the genre. Won't it?

I tryed just to see if it work to have different folders in the game section with folder icon and then the games in that folder and it truly did work.

SO WHY AREN'T ANYONE USING THIS!?

Well, let's go further to my question....

You graphical genies out there, is there somebody who could do some nice folder icons to use to this purpose? With genre like:
Action
1st person shooter
Adventure
Puzzles & Party
Racing
Sports

and maybe some more genres that you could think of.

And if it's possible it would be nice to have these folder icons as WIDE ICONS!

I had an idea for combining the idea behind pm3's folders, and having the title bigger, so you can make out the name or title easier. Example-

Which one do you like more? Would this be feasable to do in the future? By the orginal creators of the other already done ones? As if so, i can make future ones in the bigger version. To the creator of the others, all i did was use default folder icons and stretch the 2nd layer to fit the bounderies of the folders default edges.

Ah Forget that link here is a much better one I think... I added loads more Layers to the PSD and that should help quite a lot...

Added 2 types Hdd drives found in MC360 or similar as well as folder and whatnot...

Added loads of great gfx layers and loads more to be added soon.

Ok doKi.

You will soon find that the above Link will not work anymore. The reason simple...

I have Just added yet more gfx Layers so that you tinkers out there can have a go at producing your own Folder Icons with diferent compositions and so on...

I would Like to get my hands on the modified HDD gfx that Team BB used on the skin, but elace I wont be going SVN just because. So would there be a kind soul that will provide those?

Wilst that isnt happening I hope the current ones will serve purpose, the ones I made and are saved inside the package looking very Pimp indeed on my Xbox.

One would hope that Tom Loth will add his layers to the PSD or release his own PSD so that we can all tinker somemore. Whatdayasay? Tom... Tom... yuhuuuu...

Almost forgot look inside for some fontssssss used... or that could be used in future.

Hi guys finnally took a bit of interest in this

and decided to rar up all the icons here and put them in 1 download file to save people having to "right click save as" all the images in this thread and TomLoths site almost 70% of them seem to have been done by him

Anyway the rar file contains 374 icons from all the ones on this thread and is 7.26mb big

I'm thinking of keeping this up to date by checking back in this thread and adding them to the rar file every time I think there is enough to warrant an update.
So if you want this to happen I would appreciate actually posting the images in this thread so I can "right click save as" on them and add them instead of having to search through sites for new ones. (I'm looking at you tomloth)

This way I know from my last post in this thread all the new ones I should add and people will know from my posts in here what the rar contains

Hey Jezz, i'm glad to see that some of them your making are overlayed larger then the folder, it really does make them easier to see/make out on the tv with some titles, thats at least the reason why some(will be most in the future) that i make are that way, plus i think it looks a little better anyway.
And i view them on 32-35inch tv's(Svideo MINIMUM), maybe my eyes just aren't what they used to be. Haha.

Some of use might do it if you can provide SOME kind of artwork here. I have little personal time outside of work to search for a little while for each of those, let alone everything else, just to make an icon, but if you can provide some artwork to be able to use, i can do something for you. If you want 'em enough that is.

Really sorry, but I don't have a single one in psd format.. I knew I should have kept those.. but didn't.
Most of the ones I made, the images could easily be found again and the rest I took from vlc screenshots. Those ones I'm actually not bothered about now

I'm a bit down atm actually too look for any logos..

but when I feel better I can sort them out for you if needs be. Just letting you know
