if this isn't used anymore, why is this section still available?  wouldn't it save a lot of hassle and useless questions if it were gone?

Even if it isn´t used anymore give us one valid reason why it should be removed?

There is a massive amount of info in this forum, and just becouse some people think it is redundent do not mean that it is useless.
