Title: Why Did Ms Produce 5000 Faceplates?

Wonder why did MS produce 5000 faceplates and bothered to number them as well...are they expecting vendors (like myself) to come up with something deliberately or ...

Still, where did all these 5000 pcs go to?

Sorry, I dont follow you?  What are you talking about?  Could it be the "limited edition" faceplates that were given away at E3?

Not following you but if you're talking about the E3 faceplates alot were on ebay a week or so after it ended. Alot of people kept their's as souvenirs. They are numbered because most limited edition promotional products are numbered. People like saying they have #4 and the lower the number the more it's worth unless you are comparing #4500 and #4000. They gave them to vendors to keep them I suppose. I know I would like an E3 faceplate for my 360. Just a little part of history.

Whats your definition of resonable price? I don't think you will find anyone willing to part with the faceplate for less than atleast $100 they are all well over $100 on ebay with almost a day or more left. Maybe you can find someone generious but you'll be looking at a pricetag of around 100 just so ya know.

I was looking to buy one more of a lower number. but I have not foud any lower than my 1250/5000.

Thats a good deal, If you really want one you should probably take it. Unless the drive is really far then you could probably get one off of Ebay for less than it would cost to buy gas to get down there and back. The number on ebay keep going down and down and they are all at 100+ with well over a day left. So my suggestion is if he is close I would fork over the extra $50 if you really want one. They only get more expensive over time.

I dont think he will take it.. no offence, but he sounds like the kinda of guy who would want me to go to his house, sell it for $80, then try and get me to take another $5 off when I got there.
