Title: Xbox 1 Classic Hdd Replace
Post by: ldotsfan on September 06, 2012, 07:36:00 AM
A softmod xbox 's softmod resides on the hdd. Without the hdd, the console is effectively useless. The question you'll need to answer: do you have the eeprom backup?

With the eeprom backup, you'll be able to do a hdd rebuild with the IDE hdd with xboxhdm. Otherwise you'll need an eeprom reader or a modchip.

you could just make or buy an eeprom reader to get the eeprom data.
But if you want a cheap and cheerfull mod chipl the aladdin xt + are reasonable.
a step up is duox2 lit splif may have some if your in the u.s
( i have aladdin and duox2 in the uk)

if you want to go all out try and find an xecuter 3
I only have an xecuter 2.6 ce. But the bank selector needs replacing on that so i cant sell that..

but generally whatever mod chip you can find should work for you. its more about the bios that you flash to it unless you want an lcd screen output.
