the more i see these ps excluives jump to the 360, the more i realise why im not interested in my ps2. I have no interest in any of these games at all. In my opinion they all suck. Sorry if that sounds fanboyish but honestly, these arent good games at all. Why do the ps fanboys like this shit!? This is good for ms from a business standpoint but xbox was doing fine in terms of quality without them. When i read that ridge racer was gonna be a launch title, my initial response, " hmmm im hungry..... I feel for some pizza....". I mean who cares?
Burnout isnt a Launch title for 360, thats coming later on I believe.
ridge racer for psp owns, simple as that. it one of there bvest titles.
Meh, PGR3 will probably be better, and it will definitely have better live support.
Whats all the hype behind this game? I've never played one but by all the features and all the articles I have read and reviews it looks like some generic racer that is easily out done by PGR or NFS. The graphics are okay but it looks rather bland gameplay wise, is it just because it used to be a sony exclusive?
who needs ridgeracer when we have 200 tactical war games and 200 fps to look forward to anyway
I have nothing bad to say about the PSP. Im actually impressed. This is the handheld Ive been waiting to see. The screen alone makes me love it. My friends joke that its more powerful than ps2!....lol
ridge racer was on xbox?
and incognegro, a hard boiled egg is more powerful than the pspoo
It never came out on the current gen Xbox... but yes it did come out on N64 and DS
PS1: Ridge Racer
PS1: Ridge Racer Revolution
PS1: Rage Racer
PS1: Ridge Racer Type 4
PS2: Ridge Racer V
PSP: Ridge Racer
N64: Ridge Racer 64
DS: Ridge Racer:DS
Now... Ridge Racer 64 was NOT developed by Namco like the other Ridge Racers were. The "Ridge Racer" name was licensed by Nintendo and they developed the 64 version themselves it has no real ties to the Ridge Racer series other than name... the DS version was simply a port of the N64 version.. So I ask you... can it really be considered part of the series?
Ridge Racer is Sony's Arcade Racer... it's essentially their PGR... before GT it was the "flagship" racer for the Playstation.
Considering it's Sony "exclusivity" (baring the licensing out to Nintendo) I wonder if it will not only come to the 360, but do so exclusively?

Ummm......it is more powerful than the PS2. The PS2 only had a GFX Synthesizer. Many GFX functions were done in software mode (not hardware) and any form of shading/mapping was emulated and very slow. The PSP on the other hand does have a full GPU. All functions that were emulated and done in software on the PS2 are now done in hardware. Thus making it faster and more powerful. Its kinda like when you run 3dmark03/05 and it does the CPU tests. Those would be just your CPU running GFX, while the normal tests are CPU and GPU and they look much better and run much faster. Even the CPU is 33Mhz faster in the PSP and it is the same type of CPU as the PS2.
I didn't realize that R Racing Evolution was part of the Ridge Racer family
That was a pretty good title I played a decent amount of it. Certainly didn't remind me of the other Ridge Racer's I've played, though I never played 5.
