Digital_Sin.
I am in Australia, and freeservers gives me the error that I am not authorized to download that file.
Not sure why.

I had to setup using a US based proxy server to download it.

Maybe you wanna check that out.

Thank you VERY much for your work though. Finally I can enjoy the best dash, without having to always reach for my control pad =D

Cheers,
Amph

i cant seem to understand your question, if you are talking about the xbox4 logo in the orb, this feature was not included with the original default.xip, you must have added it yourself from the codding section of this forum.

my default.xip is JUST LIKE the original default.xip that came with uix EXCEPT it fixes the dvd dongle bug, so by using this default.xip you'll loose all your mods [cell wall, clock, background....etc]. which means you'll have to mod them all over again. if you didn't mod your original dash with any mods, then you dont have anything to worry about.

lol, man i got what you mean, when you replaced your default.xip with this one, i guess your dash returned to "stock" mode not "modded", change it back to "modded" from the configuration and your xbox4 logo will go away...

if that's not it then you lost me, coz i dont think my patch has anything to do with it.....

It will NOT work on the next release, as you cannot modify the .xip files [as the rumor states] but id say that the whole remote thing will be fixed in the next release of UIX anyway

count me in  :D

anyways, if they are not going to make the files accessible, they have to fix everything themselves or i'm sure alot of people are going to stop using UIX, or maybe just the new version.

cheers!

I feel your pain guys, i allways loved tHc - tHc LITE - XDN Bug Bash - UIX v1.0 how you could mod the code to suit your needs. That was the point of this series of dashboards, you could MOD THEM. [I never got around to using BSX as i stuck with tHc / XDN]

Locking the XIP 's is destroying this whole series of dashboards

If the XIP's are gonna be locked so we cant touch them im gonna stick with the first version of UIX and cry in the corner, but im sure that TeamUIX are gonna pull thru and not care about << Insert E Word Here >> as the xbox 1 is allmost to its end and << Insert E Woed Here >> are a bunch of arse hats.

I know that TeamUIX are protecting thier work, but if they go thru with the whole XIP locking then there goes the fun in the m$ dash mods

Well I was talking to someone . . . . . gonna leave it at that. . . . about there being xips in the dash, that will be lock . . . and xips in the skin that will be open. Our conversation was cut short and it was not elaborated on so i can't really say more than that . . . i wonder what the skin xips will contain?

Sowah what i think is that the XIPS for stuff like the main menu are gonna be locked, and the default.xip too. But then we could edit ones for the skins and stuff like that. Wonder if the new xbe can work with the old xips ??

Only time will tell =P

If the new version has locked xips I too will just use UIX 1.0 or the Comm Build.  I can't belive this is even being considered.
Don't get me wrong I love UIX but part of the reason I like it so much is becase you can edit it.

lol, its as if linux is locking it source! even though i dont want what happened in the this version happen again the next release, but locking the xips is not a good option, although i think that skin xips thing might work, depending on what these xips include/control.
