Title: Adding To Playlist Doesnt Work

am i missing something?  when i choose to add a song to playlist it seems to remember and play the songs in the right order, but when i move to the left side to view the playlist nothing appears there.  should there be an entry for playlist in the  xboxmediacenter.xml file???  if so what should it look like.
