Title: Too Old For Video Games?
Post by: no.7 on December 07, 2002, 09:10:00 PM
just wondering if im maybe too old to be playing.

bought xbox a few days ago, primarly for dvd film. (cheap)

tried HALO for 20 min, and i got reminded of perfect dark of N64. (which i bought new cause i didnt have cable tv)

by the way im 25.

first game machine was c64, then c128 further amiga500,500+, amiga 600. atari lynx.
Later i won a philips cd-i, that was a good system ......

after buying several films and games, they stopped selling it over here. then i got a system with pioneer laserdisc, another winner.....

Also had a N64 with several games, and a rumble pack that always needed new batteries.

so my question, what is too old to be having an xbox?
right now its hidden away¨, behind some Bob Dylan LPs.

But common, please don't say you bought that for DVD movies when you can get DVD players for under 99$ now  biggrin.gif   You know you took the XBOX to play games... at least the kid in you knows you bought it for games !

26 and been playing video games all my life; you can never be too old to play video games, especially in the digital world we live in now.

Now, it's more of an issue to be too young for some of the titles that are out.

But now as I get older, I find myself more interested in fiddling with hardware rather than playing games.

The main target age group for sony and MS is the 25 to 35 age group. We are the one's that are supposed to be able to afford this shit.

I have my one son doing all the Combo moves in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance

and my 3 year old can beat the first board on Sonic for Sega.

By the way, My 3 year old just beat me in Memory Match. You know when have cards
laid out and you flip them over to find a match. I didnt let him win either. He actually had Double
of what i had. Thats pretty sad, aint it?

Video games must be frying my brain   blink.gif

Me... I'm 37 - I even lost a job once because I would lock myself in my office and play Close Combat on my PC for 8 hours a day.

Man... That was a great job...
