Ehh, I can't see how you can be so active in the "hacking" discussion when you don't know the method.

There are "many" methods to play on Live with edited content. The easy method for anyone that won't change some values in their Xbox, is by playing the game from a disc with the modchip disabeled. The clew I gave you is the solution in it self, if you don't understand what I ment you should sit down and learn about the Xbox, starting on basics. You'll not be able to use edited cars on Live, without knowing how the Xbox works in the different stages.  <

Eh, im just throwing out theories... i dont play on live and i dont see the need to cheat while doing so...  dry.gif

Well then you somehow missed the point, and how can you not believe it? Would you believe it if he used the proxy method?

You can go Live with the modchip enabled, without getting banned - ever. If you change some values here and there, you'll fool Live as your Xbox will look just like any other Xbox.

The idea is to race your friends, no to cheat. The people that uses modded cars on Live doesn't use them for cheating.

if you people are openly talking about being able to go on xbox live with backed up games, then why isnt there a thread describing this? or is it just one of those things that isnt openly talked about, as it seems to be?

i for one wouldnt attempt it, but doesnt it come down to the xbl servers checking your bios?  <

Says it selves doesn't it?

You'd have a lot of n00bs on, wich need training handling the regular cars. I'd rather not see them in cars exceeding the 527 limit... Live would be a mess.

If there would be many users going Live with modchips enabled, I'm sure Ms would figure something out to stop the trend.

For example PGR2, there is no way I can beat the top scores on that anymore cause the people on top have been using modded cars, which is clear for everyone to view in the ghost challenges if they dont believe me.

"So whats good for the gosse is not good for the gander?" blink.gif

Now the point about running backed up games on live is the overall issue, I strongly believe that such a method exists but its kinda like a "private members club" of people in the know.  beerchug.gif  By all means keep the info to your selves.
But do me a favour dont think because your in the "know" your better than anyone else.

i wouldnt mind playing on live with a backup, but to screw over other people by cheating i think is just gay.
games like pgr2 i could give a shit less becuase i dont play it, but games i play like splinter cell, i actually dont really care either i guess because if i suspect someone of cheating, ill try my best to kick their ass then boot them knowing that even cheating they still suck.

but oh well.. ill leave it to the leet who have more skill than i can understand, and hope that the people with these skills dont use them for evil.

Finally DOS4GW is talking some sense!

This is why I was not pleased with you intially in the other thread, because you avoided all talk about the issue and homed in straight on the point about "hacking"
however, now the point is if everyone knew then yes live would be a mess of which I agree with, but then SO WHAT! or is that not a good thing!?  dry.gif

It's good that brains find ways to hack M$ works. And i'm for the idea of sharing the secret so people can play live with backup games.
But if it's gonna turn in another cheating area, better keep it a secret.
I stopped playing PGR2 on XLINK because of cheaters and i bought the game to play it on live.
Hope it will be a way to play backup game on live with a protection that stop games with modded or unmatching files.
Really, what's the fun in cheating and beating people easily?

Guys, it's moniq again.
I heard what you all were discussing about.
Well, to me, I don't think mod car is cheating.  My first thought was if everyone knows how to mod a car then he or she should give it a try to see who mod the best car.  It's like a competition.  And of course, it has to be in the same class and must not be of other class' engines.  However, if no one knows but you then it's not cool.  I know MrHard2Handle has modded his TVR to the max which is up to the speed of 623 mph.  And terrible part about this TVR is that he can control the damn thing unlike other players, can't handle their speed.
To DOS, I once read your message about changing view from the inside of the car by changing y & z.  I've tried that and nothing seemed to change.  Just for your info, it's not working the way you showed everyone.  You can't change the position when you have the inside view.  If there is a way, please let me know.  I would really appreciate that.  I like the real view where I can see exactly what the driver sees.  Thanks.
