Title: Turning Off Flubber Sound
Post by: rahulgurjar on April 30, 2005, 05:16:00 PM
Hi all,
I want to turn off the flubber sound when the xbox starts up.
I have put the xbox in my car and find the volume to be too loud when the flubber sound starts going.
I don't mind not having any flubber image showing, the main thing is that the flubber sound doesn't play, and it loads into evox.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Cheers,
Rahul

Use one of the X2 5028-5031 BIOS and in the config file disable the flubber, or use the X2 4981 blue BIOS, that dosn't have flubber either.

Thanks TKramka,
I used the 4981 (i got a 256k cheapass chip) and modified it using XBTool to get rid of the animation and sound. I used raincoat to load the bios.
Finally I can turn the gains up a bit now.
cheers,
rahul

I'm familiar with modifying the *.ini file, but what is the syntax of the command to turn off the flubber sound?

Thanks,
Vmax
