Title: Mod Of Xbmc Live No Kai Mod
Post by: Gibn on July 29, 2006, 12:30:00 PM: first of all i would like to thank Jezz_X for making this mod, its awesome:D

What this mod has
1) buttons look better (see screenshot)
2) XBMC LIVE logo alows to to go to market place with Kai enabled or disabled

Instructions:
1)Download Jezz_x's xbmc live no kai mod and overwrite files needed
Download HERE

2) Download my mod and overwrite the files needed
Download here
Download LiveMod.rar

3) restart and ur done!

ENJOY!

*NOTE* buton images are not included.

before u begin step one download xbmc live market place LIVEMARK from the market place website

Download HERE

if u already had it from before then dont worry about downloading this, its basically so u have the images for the marketplace itself

Post by: manturafs on July 29, 2006, 03:04:00 PM: haha, i'm actually doing the buttons as we speak. nice job. the only con with your mod is that you can't have the extras with kai enabled, which is why i added it as a separate button in information management. though some people use kai, they still want the look of the old extras blade. seriously though, sweeeet job.

oh and do u know how to make the buttons animate like in the games blade where the button kind of rises op and the shadow fades in?

Post by: manturafs on July 29, 2006, 03:43:00 PM: the old extras blade looks just like when the kai is disabled in your mod except for the live button being there. i was just saying some people like that look and still want kai enabled.

as for the effect, you need to include:

CODE
button-shadow

into your shadow blocks(if they aren't there, i didn't check). that should give you that effect. i have it in my mod which i plan on releasing tonite. i'm just trying to add a new script to net apps. i'm feeling lazy so i might not work on skinning it.

Post by: manturafs on July 30, 2006, 01:27:00 PM: i'm hitting some obstacles with the next release, but i know people will be happy for the delay. if i can rush it, maybe tonite, but it's looking like tomorrow.

as for when kai is connected, it's just like the old extras blade. if you hit the start button, you'll see kai controls near the top of the mc360 guide blade.

EDIT: not the one above the info the image on the button itself.

Post by: manturafs on July 31, 2006, 12:00:00 AM: you can't change it. if i remember correctly, it's hardcoded into the image of the button. not just an image on top.
