Yea, I was about to ask the same thing. I am looking for
bootimage but I don't see any file like that.
all you need to do is find or make a picture and save it as bootimage.png and load that file to the directory that has your avalaunch.xbe file and avalaunch will do the rest for you
Nothing special and I know many of you are not from over here, but it was all I had on-hand to replace the babe before my wife freaked out... plus I have ZERO graphics skills...

I like that. Did you make it yourself?
QUOTE(dpaul007 @ Jan 11 2005, 04:15 PM)
That's one thing I see a lack of... skins for widscreen TVs!
what size should you make the image files?
640x480
800x600
1024x768
or does it matter?
so if i want to change a file to the boot image i just rename it to bootimage.png or somthing like that then move it to c\ ?
OK so you should make 640 X 480 and you need to put this in the SAME folder as your avalaunch.xbe file so if you have it un F:\Apps\ then put it there if you have it in c:\ then put it there

This one goes with my whole skin I just made. You can probably download it from allxboxskins tomorrow (monday) if you like it. My 2nd skin.

Here...
It still needs some work, but it's something I threw together to incorporate the SmartXX chip that I have and the Avalaunch dashboard, along with a little love for The Scene.
Did another one. Looks a little cleaner I think.
This is the last one, I promise. I love the way it turned out.

Here...
you know, i tried that, and it wouldn't boot at all. are there exact dimensions it needs to be. I didn't make a jpg and rename to png, I saved it as a png is photoshop, if that matters. i think it would. i'll try again, cause i have updated avalaunch since trying that. but if anyone has any tips to help that'd be great.
Just make it right dimensions and put it in C:\ and name it bootimage.png
You did the right thing as far as saving it as a .png file in Photoshop. You can't just take a .jpg and rename it to .png. It wouldn't work. Just make sure your pic is 640X480 and then rename it to bootimage.png and drop it in the same directory as your Avalaunch is (mine is C). Good luck.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to create a program or file that would allow for the random use of different boot images? I think that it would be cool to have a series of images that would randomly appear at boot screen. I'm not sure how one would accomplish this, or if it is even possible. It's probably something that would have to be incorporated into the avalaunch.xbe that would rename the different boot images at startup. Or, maybe one of you know how to get an autoexec file up and running on the XBOX file system. Just a thought.
That would rock please post if you know if there is anything that will do that
I only spent about 5 minutes, but she's so hot...

10 points to the person who can identify my XBL name written accross the middle (hint: The language has a Halo reference )
Hope you guys like it
Here's my main menu and overlay images too.
Just wanted to explain that it would be possible though. I wouldn't count on this feature any time soon - if ever.

love this one because it has exacly the same style as the xbox logo, so it's a nice switch.
Hi guys. I was wondering, is there a way to backup the picture of the anime chick incase I want to put it back on my xbox. I have searched my xbox HDD and I have no file named Bootimage.png anywhere. Please let me know how I can get a copy of this pic incase I want to bring it back at a later time. Thanks!
Blaize, that bootimage is fucking awsome! Nice!
What can I say? I'm a father...

Nice like the new look
copy it to where your avalaunch.xml file is, and if that doesn't work, put it on your C:
