format the xbox hdd for use in pc and copy files to it ---> yes, in this case u are essentially taking the xbox hd and using it as a pc hd, no problem... some steps are involved though....check tutorials

Then format the xbox hd for use back in xbox --->duh? double formatting equals empty hdisk! what do u wanna actually do??..

pc and xbox => different filesystem => not compatible so it's not a case of unplugging the xbox hd, plugging into pc, copy evox etc into it and putting it back to your xbox and finish... if this is so, then nobody would have networking problems, can't install evox problems, etc etc, ... burning problems and a shits...

yeah, just remember anytime you format a drive you remove ALL data stored on it.
