As soon as I read his tutorial... I read it again.
I don't quite get everything he's said. I've tried to make an intro for halo and have failed. Now when it loads it skips to the menu screen.
Has anyone tried this out?
I've tried everything.
I "smaked" an avi I made myself.
I "smaked" an avi I made the same number of frames as the original .bik
I "smaked" an avi I allready had.
In my convert a file option screen there isn't a .bik extention.
Should there be one?
The RAD help files stink so it's no help. If some one knows how to do this please help me out!

O.K... Well.. not O.k.
Where's the sound?
I got a great intro.bik for halo with no sound.
I've made an avi with sound and smack/binked it!
I've used an existing avi with sound and smack/binked it!
I've created a bik file and mixed in sound!
I've created a bik file and mixed in sound and smack/binked it!
but on the xbox it plays w/o the sound!
The tony hawk biks had sound.
xboxhackern00b or anyone got a good idea I could use?

man this is taking FOREVER! but it's worth it! No MS/bungi intro, Sonic youth 100%attract1.bik, veronica zeminova for the credits, I love it!
Anyone who reads this should try making their own bik. It's awsome to see your own logo or what ever you want. Plus for people with original hds you save a ton of space.
As soon as I get everything ironed out I'm doing a tut!

The RAD help files stink so it's no help.
I know some thing's up because it's supposed to have sound laced in with the frames. If I don't mix in sound there is no sound. When I mix it in there's no sound on the Xbox but it's on my computer. I'll eventually end up with some of the Red vs. Blue vids as my attract1-3.biks and the trailer for Halo 2 for the credits. I plan to do stuff like that. It just sucks without sound.

Has anyone made a bik and had it play with sound on their Xbox?
What codec should I use? Maybee mine's set to high.

Oh I've got a great tut already but I wont release it with out having these sound problems figured out and in the tut.

I think it comes down to the license. I downloaded the free version so $6,500.00 isn't worth sound. dry.gif
But if some one should have the Xbox licensed version well....

Read this tutorial that I wrote a long, long time ago under my former nickname. It's worked for me.

try keeping the AVI in an uncompressed state before you BIK it .
if its an existing DivX, then use virtual dub to clean it up, as per SVCD instructions.

Anyhow, did you fix it for yourselves? Oh and btw, the Bink Tools kit for xbox, isnt going to help you much, it only assists in insertion codes..
