The day before thanksgiving, I was working on AvPx making some changes, and the power went out before I could save the changes.  Now I have to remember what they were.  I also gotta update the site and get it ready so you all can see it and read the updates as they go cool.gif

About my job, the hiring process is taking forever.  The boss is too busy to take interviews lately, so now I have to wait for him to be available, so I can get the interview and buy the game and a new mod. beerchug.gif   I have to admit, this is a tougher challenge than I thought, but I think I can handle it.  I wanted to work on this port more, but MY MOM...  thats all I gotta say.  When I move out, I'll be able to do this instead of watch tv in my spare time.

I got some good news and bad news today:

GoodNews:  I think lantus might be willing to help.  Imagine the power of his knowledge in this port.

BadNews:  The hiring proccess is VERY slow lately.  The boss has been very busy lately and hasn't been having time for interviews lately.  If I can't get a job and buy the game and a mod, I can't port the game sad.gif

But still, I'm not giving up on this.  I always wanted to port this game myself for a LONG time!

people on this forum seem to forget that the devs do these ports in their free time, and they don't get paid.

If someone ports this, I can provide them some webspace on my projectfanout.com server, and a seperate area on my forums there.

I never played this, and now my PC is too modern to play it.  I've been told that AvP and AvP2 are two of the best PC titles ever.

It's not to old to play, it works fine on my pc (WinXP).

it doesn't work on my XP. i have read on various sites that it has issues that cannot be resolved. i suppose if it works for you then that's just luck.

Good news, I think I can keep the bink videos in the game.  I heard that some Xbox games use bink videos.  If I can find out how to use them, than I can keep the bink videos there.

BTW were you talking about the Full version or the demos?

EDIT: More good news, now during Christmas Vacation, I'll be able to work on this more.  beerchug.gif
