dude it runs freaking awesome I love being able to blast aliens while avoiding being drenched in acid. DRONE HEADSHOTES FTW LOL. That aside the graphics rival that of doom 3 on the xbox. The only thing I noticed was that the keyboard settings where still in effect besides the analog sticks for movement. So with a little testing I made a good button system that worked well for me.

I'll try to upload it as soon as I can.

sounds good red ring, please let us know when you get it uploaded, im still messing around with my configuration, seems theres not enough buttons,  laugh.gif This game is bad ass and playing it on xbox is great. Thanks again sirlemonhead, you've done one hell of a job man.

this is amazing one of the best games of all time thank you so much works great never new the xbox could do this.

Will there be mod support? like via a config file or something since you cant have command lines.

or a button for the console so we can cheat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'v never posted on these forums before but i'v been here for years. Just wanna thanks Sir Lemonhead for his awsome work!

Here is a video i'v uploaded of me playing AVP on Xbox 1 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFnZJWgR7yI

Bug report: If this means anything, on Predator Area 52 when you catch on fire the animation looks scrambled when you shoot those big barrels.

There is enougth buttons for this on the xbox pad but the problem iam having is when you reset the controls left and right on the D-Pad are assigned to left and right on the D-Pad as i use these for switching weapons also on the right side of the controls could you please blank these all out.

My configs are like so

Alien -
(A) = Jump
(B) = Nothing
(X) = Walk
(Y) = Operate
(White) = Nothing
(Black) = Vision
(Left  Trigger) = Tail Attack
(Right Trigger) = Claw Attack
(Click Left Trigger) = Croutch/Climb
(Click Right Trigger) = Nothing
(Back) = Pause Cant Change
(Start) = Nothing
(D-Pad-UP) = Nothing
(D-Pad-Down) = Nothing
(D-Pad-Left) = Nothing
(D-Pad-Right) = Nothing

Marine -
(A) = Jump
(B) = Nothing
(X) = Nothing
(Y) = Operate
(White) = Jetpack
(Black) = Throw Flare
(Left  Trigger) = Secondary Fire
(Right Trigger) = Primary Fire
(Click Left Trigger) = Crouch
(Click Right Trigger) = Nothing
(Back) = Pause Cant Change
(Start) = Nothing
(D-Pad-UP) = Image Intensifier
(D-Pad-Down) = Nothing
(D-Pad-Left) = Previous Weapon
(D-Pad-Right) = Next Weapon

Predator -
(A) = Jump
(B) = Recall Disc
(X) = Grappling Hook
(Y) = Operate
(White) = Cloak
(Black) = Cycle Vision Modes
(Left  Trigger) = Secondary Fire
(Right Trigger) = Primary Fire
(Click Left Trigger) = Crouch
(Click Right Trigger) = Nothing
(Back) = Pause Cant Change
(Start) = Nothing
(D-Pad-UP) = Zoom In
(D-Pad-Down) = Zoom Out
(D-Pad-Left) = Previous Weapon
(D-Pad-Right) = Next Weapon

The problem with these are some controls are linked to the joypad on the right this is why i want them blank.

also would it be possible to have a reload button? cant remember if you get one when playing the PC wont bloody start for me on XP Pro SP3

Rocky5, I had the same problem, just asign all of the controls that you want to be blanked to one XBox button that you aren't going to use.

One other possible solution, which won't need you to waste an XBox button, would be to create a profile on the PC version of AvP, and blank ALL controls in the profile. That way you can define all controls as you wish on the XBox version. I'm not sure if this will work (I've not tried it), but logically I think it would.

Sir LemonHead, as everyone else has said, this is fantastic, (and fully validates my praise of the beta versions. It shows both how powerful the XBox is, and how talented you are  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Many, many thanks for this, it makes me even happier that I've kept my XBox instead of getting a 360  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I did get one crash (total XBox lock up) with the release version (this version) - I died on level three, middle skill level, as a marine and on the statistics screen the XBox totally locked up, and I had to reset the XBox and reload AvP to continue. It only crashed once, and I died a lot of times, so hopefully it's a very rare occurance, and if it just crashes on the statistics screen (which is really the game over screen) then that's hardly a major problem for now. I've tried to reproduce the crash, but with no success yet.

hi guys, another long term member with few posts here but, my god, this is an awesome release. Ive just been playin it on the big screen, Great job sirlemonhead. I just had to say thanks to you for this, its superb. The controls take a bit of getting used to but i can see your working on this, also, just to mention the thumbstick seem really sensitive, i know i can adjust the speed sensitivity in the options but its more the amount of movement being used by the sticks, a very small amount of movement is equal to me moving the stick the whole way over to the edge, tis hard to explain but im fairly sure you know what im on about  cool.gif
Now the important stuff, thank you very much for doing this, and well done and a great job.

Just when I thought the scene was dead...

...perhaps one of the best releases for the XBOX ever surfaces!

I've not been able to test it out yet, but will very soon. Thank you much for breathing a little life into a scene
that should not be dead!
