Controller Doesn't Work In Pcsxbox

I have the same issue--but didn't know you could skip intro to work around it.  How do you configure it to skip intro without a controller? what config file / line do I need to edit?

Did you ever restore the controller back to the menu? Mine used to work but magically died while I was afk using the emulator to play ff8 one day
